does the report button actually already work?
and if so do we need to include the link?

The report button doesn't seem to work, no. I need to look into it.

I am monitoring the issue and need to fine-tune our anti-spam filtering on registrations. I'll be sure to keep an eye on it. I guarantee there will be more over the next few days, but it will slow and eventually get under control. The trick is not preventing people with legit accounts from signing up. It may require we add additional measures.

take your time, then I know when I see a spam post I don't have to click on the report btn yet

I check for spam 2 or 3 times daily (when I have the time) and delete what I find

Other members are also deleting spam, your reported post was gone before I could delete it

I nuked a couple myself today. But no, the "Report" button doesn't work.

I just nuked a couple myself. They all seem to be sports stream links likely coming from the same place.

We're using project honeypot and StopForumSpam on the forums and MODX.com. We could add an additional layer of protection, however, I do not think it will necessarily eliminate forum spam. We'll always have to monitor. If there are better tools. I am all for trying though.
