I am dismayed at the amount of forum spam that has been cropping up of late.
There are tons of old and new posts being blatently spammed either with full posts of links or general blatent self promotion.
I am currently in contact with Jay, but contact keeps breaking down, sadly due to the extensive amount of work the MODX team have at the moment.
So, my call-out is to all MODX users who participate in the forum. Let's try and get some of the spammers publicly beaten.
Please post links to any spam posts you find in the forum, from any and all sections, here.
Thanks for the help and your valuable time.
Please continue to report any spam posts you find, either by sending me a "PM" or reporting directly to any other forum Moderator.

I regularly report all spam that I see, but the reporting form behaves oddly and I'm not sure if it's even working.
It doesn't work - it's on the agenda to get some functionality behind it.
Jay is sorting this out, but as stated above, the contact is left to be desired when you don't have a direct line - but, I think spam is seen as an issue, but currently a smaller problem to solve.
The spammer's dream: To get links to his post...
@ottogal & paulp
What would you suggest then ?
Sarcastic comments are not called for - this post is there for those to report spam posts
This helps the team to remove all of the posts that have been found in one go - then these links can also be removed.

@paulp
Why would the click through rate rise - the spam posts are full of c__p

Just having links to links helps their search engine rating.
@Sotwell
I'm not here to argue about SEO or how "G" rates backlinks from forum posts
These links and those found in the spam posts will be removed once I have spoken with Jay and or my moderator account is sorted
If no-one is willing to add their findings I will simply remove this post - it's that simple
I also have better things to do with my time
I'm not trying to say what your doing is a waste of time, but adding links to spam posts just increases the chance of the links being clicked and therefore increases spam posts because the spammers think they get 2 for one.
It would be far better for you to keep the list from the forum and just ask people to PM you the links so they can be sorted at a later date, either when you get to moderate them or the team can sort them out.
Again, this isn't a go at you or what your doing, I just think linking to spam posts only increases the spamming and gives them more juice in search results.
