TreasureChest: MODx eCommerce solution.

For some reason, I’m not able to install TC, as whenever I try to view mysite.com/install/ it sends me to the default modx page. Can anyone explain what I’m doing wrong? Thanks.

I have successfully installed TC! Turns out, I had the wrong permissions for install.php. All is well now.

I have a view cart icon located at the top right of all the pages. How can I get the cart to display when it is empty? It only only displays if there is an item in it.

Does anyone now how to create downloadable products? Which means user pays, if transaction is succesfull he is beeing presented a downloadable file. Maybe incorporated with FileDownload or FileDownloadPE. Any ideas?

I managed to do something with the given placeholders, but I don’t see "View Cart" & "Empty Cart" like shown on the Demo Product page

Another thing I don’t quit get is the checkout with thickbox... On the demo site it all looks very nice and simple, but when I installed it on my site (currently testing it on localhost) I don’t see it that way... acually.. I don’t see it at all....... Can someone explain it a little better?

Yeah i second this. This module would be perfect for the simple business requirements i need to meet but i’ve been having alot of problems getting it up and going.

Terry’s notes have been helpful but even following those instructions to the tee i don’t get anything come up when pressing ’Add to Cart’. unlike his site and the TC demo site.

I got a feeling its something to do with mandatory php requirements perhaps not being met? Like an extension or what not that isnt installed by default and not mentioned at all in the documentation.

Some clarification from those who have put this in successfully would be awesome.

Somethings checked:
-- yes the treasure_cart div is set in my chunk and referenced properly in configuration
-- yes i’ve removed rich text formatting and ensured there is no <p> tags
-- yes i have setup my paypal stuff and provided a PDT token in the configuration section and setup a PDT page.
-- i have performed the code on 2 seperate servers to ensure it is not environment specific. Each time following Terry’s instructions and each time having the same result.
-- i do get a JScript error for some reason and i am sure it is related: view this here: http://www.aquaculturecouncilwa.com/development/product-1

How do I get my two product options "Size" and "Colour" to carry over to paypal? I can see them in the cart but when when checking out and logging into paypal the options for "Size" and "Colour" remain blank.

My issue got resolved today with the help of Josh.

The causes of my problems were:

-- the cart page having a template value set. This needs to be (Blank)
-- SlimBox being used in another plugin, namely ModBoxr which caused a conflict with Treasure Chest.

Out of curiosity how did you resolve the Slimbox and TC working together? Did you disable Slimbox to get TC working or were you able to get both working side-by-side?

first of all let me say this is a great solution for an e-commerce website. As far as I "played" with it i find it nice and easy to be managed. I worked first at a local development server, then moved it on a test server and it works pretty fine. But when i moved it on a production server i got the following error



In fact , this error occurs when I enable "friendly urls" , if they are disabled I don’t have an error message, but either way the "add to cart" link doesn’t work. However on the local machine and on a test server it works either way - both with "friendly urls" enabled and disabled. But really I don’t think this is the problem.


And another question - treasurechest.js contains packed code and its quite difficult to trace the problem . So where can I find an unpacked version of the code? I found some code in the beginning of this topic , but including it within treasurechest.js doesn’t work.

btw, the "Line: 12" I mentioned above is the TC functions.
