Check to see if slimbox is being put into your HTML output by viewing the source on the page throwing the error.
I had a similiar error on line 12 and this was because another plugin was including the slimbox javascript files and then TreasureChest failed when it tried to include them.

Galen, thanks for your response. I checked the html code , but there is no javascript code included before treacurechest.js. This is the head section html output:

Yeah i second this. This module would be perfect for the simple business requirements i need to meet but i’ve been having alot of problems getting it up and going.

Terry’s notes have been helpful but even following those instructions to the tee i don’t get anything come up when pressing ’Add to Cart’. unlike his site and the TC demo site.

I got a feeling its something to do with mandatory php requirements perhaps not being met? Like an extension or what not that isnt installed by default and not mentioned at all in the documentation.

Some clarification from those who have put this in successfully would be awesome.

Somethings checked:
-- yes the treasure_cart div is set in my chunk and referenced properly in configuration
-- yes i’ve removed rich text formatting and ensured there is no <p> tags
-- yes i have setup my paypal stuff and provided a PDT token in the configuration section and setup a PDT page.
-- i have performed the code on 2 seperate servers to ensure it is not environment specific. Each time following Terry’s instructions and each time having the same result.
-- i do get a JScript error for some reason and i am sure it is related: view this here: http://www.aquaculturecouncilwa.com/development/product-1

I made a small tv for easy creating a shop item page:

create a tv called: itemId
select dropdown list
put this in the option field:

@SELECT item_name,id FROM modx_treasure_chest  ORDER BY `item_name` ASC

make sure that you set the prefix to your db prefix (standard its modx_ but could be different
then place this in your template in the head or wherever above the placeholder you use:
[!TreasureChest? &item=`[*itemId*]`!]

now by creating a new item page you can select from the items you have created in the module.

Hi Scotty and everyone,

Thanks Scotty for this great module. I read that you’re working on version some version 2 of TreasureChest.

I must aknowledge that I did not read all the hundred posts of this thread, but here are minor bugs that I observed :

1) When the currency is Swiss Francs (CHF), the currency symbol remains $ on the cart popup.

2) When setting some PDT page, Paypal returns to www.some_site.com/index.php?123 page.
How to change TreasureChest so that it adds "id=" to the PDT string it sends to PayPal when not using friendly urls ?

3) On the ""View cart" button, there is no white space between the "View cart" label and the number of items in cart.
I also would like the button to put some brackets around the number of items in cart. Which file to hack ?
(Maybe I missed the space in my French translation of TreasureChest.)

I also have a question :
Does TreasureChest include some mechanism to ensure that 2 users are not simultaneously updating the same cart ?
(Time-based session number or equivalent ?)

First, I would like to thank Scotty for his great TreasureChest module. Great piece of code.

I have 2 suggestions for TreasureChest (TC) future releases :

1) When there are no more products in the inventory, the "Add to cart" button should be disabled.
Currently, the product is added to the cart and after pressing the "View cart" button, there is a row showing that a null quantity of the product was added to the cart. If the user changes the value in the quantity field and then click on the "Update cart" button, he is redirected to the site homepage. This is confusing.

2) If planned that future TreasureChest releases can sell digital products, it would be nice if one could specify an unlimited number of items in the inventory.
It would also be interesting to have the possibility to sell the same product with different pricing options, depending on the number of licences. And also to sell bundles. Maybe this is difficult to implement because of the one-document-per-product approach of TC.

Has PayPal fixed their print shipping label button yet? If not...

Is there any way to export from the sales manager a list which could then go to a shipping program?

There may be some days when I need to process 100+ orders. Any help making that process easier would be appreciated.

OK, I’m blurry eyed. I’ve gone through every damn post here and still can’t get the cart to work properly. Everything else is fine. I have TC on my site for now. http://impress-design.com/Madison There isn’t much styling to the page but I’m not concerned with that for now. I need to get this to work for a client.

I even got jquery colorbox lightbox to work with it (no, it doesn’t interfere with the cart. No changes when deleted.) Anyone who thinks they can help I will be happy to open up the backend for a look-see. I’m stumped.

There are some errors showing up in the Webkit inspector javascript console (or Firebug if you prefer Firefox):
