      Nice! Great work, Gildas/C. Dolivet!

Here’s EditArea’s changelog since 0.6.4 (for those interested). Hopefully I can get a repository release out shortly.

      Note:
      - v 0.6.5 and v 0.6.6 have been private releases (Hey, that’s us wink ) (change log is regrouped in v 0.6.7)
Therefore, some of the items listed below are not new (e.g. Enter performs search, etc )

      **** v 0.6.7 ****
      - add a new plugin that allow the user to change the syntax definition in use. It adds a select in the toolbar. - plugin name to add to the plugin list: "syntax_selection". - plugin name to add to the toolbar list: "syntax_selection". - possible parameter to add to EditAreaLoader.init():
"syntax_selection_allow": (String) define a list separated by "," of possible language syntax to use (eg: "php,js,python, html")
      - add Croatian translation (HR) (thanks to Ivan Vucica and Davor Cihlar)
      - add BASIC, Brainf*ck, C, C++ and Pascal syntax definition files (thanks to Ivan Vucica and Davor Cihlar)
      - add Iceweasel as a known working navigator (its a clone of Firefox)
      - improved the php syntax by highlighting the variables ($...)
      - reactivate gzip compression for IE7 (was deactivated for IE as it sometimes failed). (Let me know if you see that the load fails under IE7)
      - pressing "enter" while being in the search box now perform a search.
      - add Camino as a supported browser
      - bug fix: when clicking between the bottom toolbar and the textarea (when there is only few lines of text), the textarea didn’t get the focus
      - bug fix: under IE the delete_instance() method was throwing an error
      - bug fix: if the textarea to convert in an EditArea was in a frame (or iframe) getting back from full screen to normal display was not restoring the correct settings to the frame containing the textarea.
      - bug fix (at least I hope): in IE if the textarea to convert in an EditArea was in a frame, resizing the frame was not correctly resizing the editor if it was in fullscreen.
      - bug fix: in Opera the selected line was not rendered correctly if containing \t characters (bug introduced in one of the latest version...)
      - bug fix: "alt+f" was opening the search box and avoid to write "[" and "]" in croatian keyboards.
      - bug fix: in Firefox "ctrl+tab" was inserting a tabulation while switching active tab (window)

I just installed the latest EditArea plugin 0.31-0.6.5.1 and nothing is happening.
I followed the README in the SVN because the one in the download package is
        incomplete and confusing...

Do I need to do something else to activate EditArea in my Manager?
        Using MODX 0.9.5...

In the download package the file editarea.plugin.php is in the directory with assets/,
in SVN is in the directory with core/... I am assuming it goes with core.

In the download package the editarea plugin syntax_selection is gone... I added it back to
        the file tree.....

I’m sorry you are feeling confused with the download package. I am actively using this very package on many sites and it has been working great every time! huh

Is this an upgrade from an older version of EditArea? I suggest you clear your cache, ensuring you are running the newest .JS file. I have found cached JS to be an issue in the past when I had thought the download was broken...

The install should be pretty intuitive. All files are placed in the current MODx directory structure, so if you’re familiar with /assets/plugins/ it should be easy to determine where the /assets/plugins/edit_area folder goes (assuming you haven’t read the README from the download package)

My advice to you would be to follow the README included in the download. In short, maybe try completely removing your /assets/plugins/edit_area directory (and contents within) and start from scratch.

Install is as easy as downloading from the Resources section, extracting to your MODx site’s root, and pasting the contents of the .php file into your EditArea plugin within MODx Manager GUI. Remember to also check you’ve got proper MODx Plugin configuration settings (copy & paste from README) and checked off the right Plugin System Events. (Clear your cache if not receiving expected results...)

Has anyone noticed loading time issues with [Plugin] EditArea 0.3.2 ? On a few occasions I have found v0.3.2 to load very slowly, both with and without the compressor enabled. Each time I roll-back to v0.3.1, the load issues go away...

Please post if you have seen similar behavior.

                      Thanks!
