Support/Comments for MODx Resource Wizard

i get a blank page

i followed these instructions as is and nothing happening when i click on the mod, did i miss something ?

Upload the "install" directory to the root
of your MODx site.

open your internet browser and go to:
"http://yoursite.url/install/".

If you follow the directions, the Wizard will
install or upgrade itself to version 1.8.5!

that is a single file, do we also need to download the mod install file or are these 2 different things

Sorry... I have to put some instructions up on that page!

Upload the file "mrw.php" to the root of your MODx installation and direct your web browser to it. If your host is running php5, please see pages 9 & 10 of this forum thread for specific issues with including remote files.

I can’t figure this one out

It says it cannot find /home/xx/public_html/assets/modules/wizard/wizard.class.php file. Is it there?

ummm, duh, yeah, wizard didn’t make it over during the install. I looked over the code but didn’t check the dir.

sorry, I forgot to document this, but it has come up many times before in this thread. I don’t mind repeating it because it is important.

the folder "/assets/modules/wizard" and all it’s sub directories MUST have permissions set to 0777. Setting the permissions on these folders to 0755 may work in some cases, but most folks find that 0777 works best.

You are getting the errors above because PHP (running as "nobody" or "www") does not have permission to write or move files to those directories.
