Help Test the NEW Discuss/MODX-based forums for Launch

Any chance my above linked feature requests can be copied/moved to the forum requests, or should I just resubmit it?

as said in the other thread about the new forum/discuss, can’t log either... i tried unlogging from this forum as advised above but nope, doesn’t change any thing, bad user/passwrd (well, seems to be the right ones as i could log back here without any problem )

virtualgadjo, the new forums use your modx.com username and password, NOT the ones on these forums...

If you don’t have a modx.com user account yet you can get one at http://modx.com/login/. Once you have one setup you can merge the accounts via your profile on the new forums to keep your posts etc, but you’ll need one to begin with

that’s what i thought but, actually, my username is the same as a MODx user... (i’ve had a slight doubt but it was easy to check, i tried to register again and, of course, my username is already used... by me )

then, being refused a few times i’ve tried "reset your password" nothing happened, back to the previous state, neither mail (even in my gmail spam box) nor form to fill, three attempts later, been blocked...

well, too bad, i will probably have to wait for this we transfert to play with the new forum

well, except that i still couldn't log in so i've had to open a new account, nothing tragic

just a word to say that there seem to be a little problem with the charset in the French section, the é,è,à,ù are displayed with the usual not so decorative diamond-shaped utf-8 replacement character in the thread titles page

I already filled a bug report for that french umlauts problem which only exists in titles.

sorry then, didn't know about that bug already filled

now, let's add, it's not only about umlauts but all the accents
it must be a old db field charset issue as on the same page MODx forum titles are correctly displayed when thread title aren't, even in the page title tag

a little "tour" later i would add i'm missing the last post feature near each forum title and the threads with a recent answer climbing to the top of the thread list, but i guess all this is going to evolve qiuetly

The same with a new account... to say ther seem to be a serious problem with the account management...

going to my profile setup, i saw i could merge my new modx account with the old smf one. So did i. i was then invited to log out and log in again for the chages to be applied. So did i and then, impossible to log back in, wrong user for virtualgadjo and discuss.disabled for virtualbear...
Well back to the password reset to see if i could change anything, i've welle received the new password but the same, discuss.disabled... and back to the log in window.

Well, for the moment, i give up...

oh no, just one more thing, the birthdate date picker is a little limited, i doubt a lot of us were born after 2001
