Is there any trick to getting this to work? I just threw it in so I could have a heading to break up the questions a little bit and can’t seem to get it work. I’ve tried upper case, lower case, having no space after the colon and 1 space after the colon.

By the way, nice snippet. I use it on almost all my sites.

Sorry, you need version 1.0.6 to make that work. I’ve just attached it to the first post in this thread. If you already have 1.0.6 and it doesn’t work, let me know.

BTW, it should be Extra: with no space.

can I use EZfaq somehow more than once on same page?
or define categories headlines maybe?

I’m using 1.0.6 and the images get mixed up.

EZfaq doesn’t use placeholders and parses the chunk itself so, in theory, it should work fine when used multiple times on a page, though I haven’t tried it and I’ve never used images in EZfaq.

I came across this post again now and was wondering if you tried using EZfaq multiply times on the same page?

I have a scenerio like this where I have few ’categories’ of FAQs, such as "Specifics/Ordering info/installation".

I tried creating question page for each category with its related question, then using EZfaq like this:



but the result is that the first call is pharsed but the other categories just output the FAQ without the javascript effect.

That’s not what I would have expected to happen, but I knew that multiple calls on the same page wouldn’t work. 

The snippet would need an ID number passed in the snippet call and changes in the code to use that id in the class names.

There is a workaround that might do what you want if you have the current version of EZfaq. Just put all the content on one page with the section headings after an Extra: tag.



Note: Be sure to use Extra: and not EXTRA: or things will go haywire.

Good question. It used to validate, but I hadn’t checked lately. I’ll have to fix it when I get some time. The errors are mostly trivial.

[UPDATE] I’m happy to announce that none of the validation errors were caused by the snippet itself (except for two spurious JS-related errors that are not really errors). So the answer to the question is that on certain issues like trivial validation errors and warnings, I’m really lazy.
