The page limitations are still there, although a lot depends on how you have MODx set up - i.e. that’s a floating limit of sorts which may be more or less depending on the setup.

The cache optimizations are in relation to the cache file being rebuilt, for example when a page has been edited. MODx Revolution really addresses the caching issues with regards to deploying larger sites.

Hope to be moving to Revo before I reach 1,000 pages (and I vaguely recall that floating limit being about 5,000 IIRC?). I wouldn’t want to get past much mroe than that as a lot of my pages are going to be pretty intensive in terms of snippets and the like so I’d hate to think what a large cache coupled with lots of database activity on every page would do

I think its because work on carbon theme not finished yet.

Is there a changelog for the RC, I can’t seem to find one

There’s a changelog.txt file in the install folder if you want the easiest way to find the major changes between releases.

Regarding cache size optimizations - could we have this one committed before Evo final release:

Its trivial, works on every big site we published last year, and produces around 10-15% smaller cache file on document heavy site with snippets included from the file system.
