MODx Evolution 1.0 RC Discussions

I have a problem with TinyMCE. Can’t add\remove buttons\plugins.
Fresh install. Goto TinyMCE, select custom Web theme. Try to remove or add buttons - nothing happens.
I didn’t try earlier, and can’t say, worked it or not.

Did you remove your user settings which override the system settings?

I just made install. And trying to add button.

+1 for the Freshbooks manager theme.

it eats Carbon themes for breakfast.

I just started to transfer an html site to Evolution. No problems so far.

A big thank you for the carbon theme.

I just love the carbon theme - it’s very calming. All these years of using modx and I’ve never seen it before!

Any chance we could have this colour scheme for Revo too

tremendous work with the new installer and theme, makes modx look 100% more professional.

I’m still missing a "save" button which is always "hovering" on top of the edit document area. By the way. I think it would be a good idea to move the safe, delete, cancel buttons to the right side. Don’t know how many times I have tried to click the save button and hit one of the links on top of it instead.

Those seem like potentially very good enhancements to make it into the final release. Will they be a part of your theme/markup cleanup effort n MODX-656?

Another thing that I was hoping to see was a working "export website" feature. I still get a "Could not retrieve document" message for each and every document in the tree. Searching the forum about this "feature" gives me the impression, that for the majority of modx installations the export function is a mess.

That’s a bug that should be fixed before Evo 1.0 release. Did you file a bug report in JIRA?

Of course not. To lazy/stupid to do such an obvious thing. Read the forum an decided this is something that nobody really cared about. Sorry about that. Won’t happen again

Very well done to the team - upgraded several REALLY complicated installations without a hitch (well, complicated in terms of custom snippets and modules which all still work fine ).

Just a quick query - is the caching issue on really large MODx sites now resolved? I believe the suggested limit was several thousand pages or something along those lines. I saw the following in the changelog in the install directory, but would like official confirmation on this subject:

Also, are there plans to have a fully draggable/droppable site tree as per Revo before Evo 1.0 final? DocManager does a fine job, but having the functionality built into the tree would perhaps be more intuitive. If not, would it be considered for inclusion if I made this a commercial enquiry (and would anyone be interested)?

P.S. - love the Carbon theme. I didn’t mind the green by any means, but the new colour scheme seems to be coming across as more professional to business users.
