Hi,
btw, does anyone know a good & clean solution to install Chrome without the GoogleUpdate.exe (or at least without trying to upde all the time) ? i once kicked chrome off my system, and even then GoogleUpdate.exe was still active...i’m not a tinfoil-hat at all, but i like to have some control over the applications ;-)

Personally I love having it auto update as I don’t need to go update 10 computers and the less computer savvy users get updates so we don’t have IE6 Syndrome again... Anyways this should do the trick for you:

If you read through the comments you find this link which is claimed to be the real standalone:

And, as mentioned elsewhere, make sure you aren’t running Firebug; in fact, I recommend disabling it completely for best performance with the Revo manager. It makes an insane performance difference.
I’m also finding the manager too slow (several seconds to expand the resources tree on the left; several seconds to populate a select input). It’s makes the Evolution manager easier to use (though not as beautiful, slick or generally awesome). Hopefully some js optimisation will help.
No chance of an ajax/oldschool compromise where the resource tree and select boxes are pre-populated and ajax updating is only invoked when something changes?
