    Thanks Bob, after my post I saw the answer from another thread, should have read first before I asked : grin

    First it shows me lines of errors; I then remember Susan mention in another thread that with SVN it pretty much have to give permissions to every files, so I proceed that, and I was able to get rid of the errors, but once the page completely, all I see is blank page.

    and I don’t see these in my modx folder:
    Once that script is finished executing, confirm that you now have a file named core/packages/core.transport.zip and a directory core/packages/core/ containing a manifest.php and many other files/directories.

    This SVN is way over my head I am afraid, guess I better be patient and wait for the installer version. undecided

      Building the package can take anywhere from 40 seconds to 2 minutes, it’s possible that PHP is timing out. Jason added some logic to override the execution time limit but that code might not be working on your system.

      In your [tt]/etc/php.ini[/tt] file, check out the [tt]max_execution_time[/tt] setting.

        Doing it on the command line gave me errors and a corrupt install, but it worked fine from the browser (IE7). It took less than a minute on my Vista machine which has a moderately fast Core Duo and 3Gig of memory so YMMV.

          I don’t see a ’etc’ folder.

          I use the default MAMP Pro PHP (5.2.5) and mySQL  5.0.41.

          It’s still showing me the blank page from Safari and FIrefox. There is this error in the PHP error log:

          [22-Jan-2008 19:44:46] PHP Fatal error:  Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 1060 bytes) in /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/modx/core/xpdo/compression/pclzip.lib.php on line 2659

          I like to give it another try before giving up and had re-exported the 0.9.7 few minutes ago. I see this :

          if (($v_result = $this->privWriteFileHeader($p_header)) != 1) {

          in the "pclzip.lib.php" file in line 2659.

          How do I allocate 1060 bytes?

            You didn’t up the memory limit as previously stated in this thread:
            memory_limit = 32M

              Thanks, but exactly where do I insert that in this line?

              if (($v_result = $this->privWriteFileHeader($p_header)) != 1) {

              ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

              If I ask for direction, you need to draw a map for me because I don’t trust my brain telling me turn left or turn right. grin

                This has nothing to do with that file and everything to do with memory_limit in php.ini

                  The php.ini file is in /Applications/MAMP.app/conf/php5/php.ini or something simila in a MAMP-installation.

                    Thank you so much!!! This was the missing puzzle. After Jason’s post about php.ini, I created a new file of it and placed in the newly created ’etc’ folder in modx folder - didn’t work. Just about to give up completely, there your message arrived. smiley

                    I had it successfully installed now.

                      Sorry ’bout that, on my LInux system the [tt]php.ini[/tt] file is placed in [tt]/etc[/tt].
