I guess it will be ready when it’s ready. I doubt that being nagged will help speed things up. Sorry. sad

Hey Jason,

I do not care for an updated release date, but is there anyway we could get a few screen shots. Maybe of the new manager using Ext?

Alright, there’s a lot going on with the manager interface, and most of these are screen shots we took a couple of months ago, but here’s something to tease you with anyway...

I hope the icons and colour change before the final release... It’s all looking very (old style) windows... The UI needs to be clean.

Cheers for the screens though

Definitely -- we’re focusing on functionality first -- the templates are now easily customizable and sane and styling is still on the to-do list. Those are the default Ext styles BTW...

That looks great, definitely more modern looking than the current manager (plus the frames are gone grin

). Very cool, can’t wait for the beta to try it out!

Looks fantastic.
Does it use mootools with Ext?
I heard of a mootools-bridge here http://www.joomlicious.com/ext-mootools-adapter/, but I haven’t tested it yet.
If you use it, please leave a comment.

It uses a custom-adjusted version of mootools 1.1 with a modx-specific adapter, that connects to Ext1.1rc1. It also uses a few custom classes for advanced form handling and tree views, integrated into Smarty.

The adapter you listed breaks in Ext1.1rc1.
