Yeah well I have been a long time switcher wannabe but never got the cash to do it, now that I do (and can deduct VAT), I just couldn’t resist. Plus, I clock a LOT of hours on my laptop now, and I was bored with the annoying noise my Acer 1683 (a Centrino M730 @1,6Ghz) was doing, the degraded capacity of the bateries, not to mention the failing keyboard (just one year old). I won’t even start bout WinXP giving me headache... the fact that Vista is not the improvement I’d have hoped for compared to XP, let’s say the only modern OS that would satisfy me was OS X... given that Linux is still a geek’s OS despite the huge user friendliness improvement lately...
I just love working on the 17" MBP. I got used pretty fast to the screen size, now 15"4 screen seem... small ! Performance wise, really a nice piece of equipment
And Mac OS X... well, I am really getting used so fast to those great features like Exposé or the widgets, I just feel I am transported back to the past when I use a PC and WinXP...

Hmmm, not a good news. Though this had to be expected, I had noticed WinXP was slower when I dual booted with SuSE 10 (laptop means both on same hard drive), probably something to do with the OS not recognizing a different filesystem. Does that make sense ?
If such is the case, maybe try
Parallels as Ryan suggested earlier in this thread... 50$ is not that expensive, I’ll do some reading but it might be the way to go since you can run any windows version, Linux and DOS...
