Well to deal with the case of if a topic continues to be relevant after x number of posts or y amount of time inactive, there could be a button for "start a new post on this topic".
I've thought that one of the areas we could use some scrubbing on is the Add-ons categorization—it may be fine as is, or it could use some merging/additions, and it should definitely match the Package repository. Thoughts on this?
(Auto-closing will take some additional coding, and likely would be based on the time of the last post, not the original thread date … don't look for this anytime in the immediate future.)

Are they Extras or Add-ons? I thought somebody said they should be referred to as Extras. An alphabetical listing would be nice. Would also like to see the date of the latest version in the initial listing of extras, for example

Susan,
Do you have a screenshot of this overlaid text issue. Bumped up the text size on my browser 4x and still couldn't break the layout. Maybe I was looking in the wrong place.
On the Extras vs Add-ons. The official name in the application is Extras, which was to encompass Snippets, Plugins, 3rd Party Components, Extensions and everything under the sun. Add-ons is a slightly less vague, and slightly more approachable name that directly suggests something you add onto your site. At this point either is fine, however consistency is key of course between modx.com and the forums to aid people in finding/getting the answers they need.

Also, a dedicated Archive topic may make sense, which people can easily ignore should they so choose and perhaps hidden from being visible unless logged in (and therefore no longer indexed by search engines), but still available for those that need/want the info.
