I have MODx setup on a couple of sites. On one site, I’m using the following snippet call for eForm:

    [!eForm? &formid=`ContactForm` &subject=`[+subject+]` &ccsender=`1` &tpl=`ContactForm` &report=`ContactFormReport` &gotoid=`46` !]

    Everything works fine there.

On another site, I’ve tried using the above call and the default one that’s part of the MODx install:

    [!eForm? &formid=`ContactForm` &subject=`[+subject+]` &to=`[(email_sender)]` &ccsender=`1` &tpl=`ContactForm` &report=`ContactFormReport` &invalidClass=`invalidValue` &requiredClass=`requiredValue` &cssStyle=`ContactStyles` &gotoid=`46` !]

But neither of those will send email to the address. Everything else is the same between the two sites, so is there something super-obvious that I’m missing here? I thought it might be a server issue but I can send to that address just fine from my personal email address. Possibly some other server issues (these sites ARE on different hosting accts).

    Thanks,

    Kenton

PS - I’m running v0.9.5 for the one that’s working, 0.9.6 for the one that’s giving me the headache smiley

I think that the &to parameter needs to be in this format: &to=`[email protected]`

You don’t need to specify the &to=`....` parameter, it defaults to the address in the configuration. Or if you want to specify it, do it in the way dev_cw mentioned.

Or try sending it to [(emailsender)] (without underscore).

[(emailsender)] is the default address in the configuration. That’s where it comes from.

                  - make sure you have a working e-mail address in your configuration and don’t use the &to=`....` parameter.

                  OR

                  - specify an address with the parameter &to=`[email protected]`

                  - make sure mails to this address are not discarded as spam

If that doesn’t help, check if you can send mail from your server with the php mail() function.

Yes, if you don’t specify an address in the &to=`....` parameter, eForm sends the mail to the address in Tools > Configuration > User > E-mail address.
