    Hello Community

Yesterday I transferred my Revo website from one host to another. I followed the instructions for moving a site to a new server and everything went fine. Except for the Gallery Add-on. I changed the different paths for Gallery in the Systems Settings, so that should be fine. I can create and manage Albums via Components/Gallery and all images pops up fine.

But on the front-end I get a 500 internal Server Error and images wont show:

        <a class="thumb" name="Snabel B 3168.jpg" href="/assets/components/gallery/connector.php?action=web/phpthumb&w=1140&h=250&zc=1&far=&q=90&src=%2Fassets%2Fcomponents%2Fgallery%2Ffiles%2F17%2F1998.jpg" title="Snabel B 3168.jpg">
            <img src="/assets/components/gallery/connector.php?action=web/phpthumb&w=75&h=75&zc=1&far=C&q=90&src=%2Fassets%2Fcomponents%2Fgallery%2Ffiles%2F17%2F1998.jpg" alt="Snabel B 3168.jpg" /></a>

Both the new and the old database runs UTF8.
The snippet call looks like this:
    	[[!Gallery? &album=`[[*AlbumName]]` &plugin=`Galleriffic` &numThumbs=`0` &renderSSControls=`0` &renderNavControls=`0` &enableBottomPager=`0` &enableTopPager=`0` &autoStart=`[[*galleryAutostart]]` &imageWidth=`1140` &imageHeight=`[[!*galleryImageHeight]]` &imageZoomCrop=`1` &delay=`9000` &defaultTransitionDuration=`1000` ]]

        Hello

Sorry for the late answer, suddenly i was getting errors across all sites. Guess it´s just one of those days

One problem solved. It seems like the RSS feeds are down inside the manager. Got confused

The error log in c-panel says:
        ..
        [Thu Dec 06 14:39:50 2012] [error] [client 80.163.18.231] (12)Cannot allocate memory: couldn't create child process: /opt/suphp/sbin/suphp for /home/.../public_html/assets/components/gallery/connector.php, referer: http://.../manager/?a=30&id=225

          Follow up:

          - Ran CHMOD every folder in the Filemanager
          - Removed all packages in Package Management and reinstalled the basics: wayfinder, ppthumbof, getresources and gallery.
          - Cleared the cache
          - Removed the cache files manually
          - Cleared the browser cache
          - Uploaded and ran setup of ModX several times.

Now i cant view any page and gets the error:

Fatal error: Call to a member function checkForExpiredSubscriptions() on a non-object in /home/.../public_html/core/cache/includes/elements/modplugin/17.include.cache.php on line 40

In the ModX error log i get alot of these looking for the removed add-ons:

[2012-12-06 23:00:45] (ERROR @ /manager/index.php) Could not load class: Polls from polls.
[2012-12-06 23:00:45] (ERROR @ /manager/index.php) Problem getting service polls, instance of class Polls, from path /home/.../public_html/core/components/polls/model/polls/

Also the old Add-ons was stuck in the topmenu. Got rid of most of them by removing them via: System > Actions.
One is still stuck though (docmanager_desc), and i can´t view any page

Any ideas to what to do next ? Go to the Database and do something ?

              It was SubscribeMe: https://forums.modx.com/thread/80980/revo-subscribeme-where-did-it-go#dis-post-446086

              But also Babel and Polls.

Finally, I think i got rid of SubsribeMe by dropping these tables:

              revo_sm_paypal_token
              revo_sm_product
              revo_sm_product_permissions
              revo_sm_subscription
              revo_sm_transaction

And in revo_site_plugins I found a row for SubsribeMe and deleted it. Also found some other plugins I didn´t use anymore.
Currently i am an in proces of cleaning up the manager, seems like all the removed add-ons left their Chunks and TV´s inside the manager
So i am getting closer to a solution, but not there yet.

Yes, that's one thing I'm beginning to have against the otherwise wonderful Package Manager. It doesn't clean up after itself very well when trying to remove things. Especially Articles! Trying to remove that can definitely trash your site. As well as not removing files and elements, or not removing elements but removing files thus breaking the element, there are some system settings that don't get updated, so an experimental site that installs/removes stuff a lot just to see what it does will have those settings get bigger and bigger with stuff that doesn't exist any more.

I couldn´t agree more. I like to have a test area/context on my site, so I can experiment and test things before pushing it to clients. That´s extremely important to me.

I am not at the Sottwell-level yet, so I am wondering, is it normal that:

                  - the database won´t be cleaned up and contain leftovers from uninstalled packages. Once I got into the database I found leftovers everywhere ?

                  - the manager won´t be cleaned, and leaves chunks, tv´s, snippets and templates ?

Also, it took me forever to remove the packages, because some Add-ons I have been upgrading since their first revo releases, and thats a lot of versions to remove one by one. Keeping all previous packages seems bit too much and will take up space.

I am getting closer. The front end is working, except for the Gallery module. Backend I now get the famous:

                  Unexpected token <:
                  Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Which means a lot 500 server errors. My directories got file permission 755, but some of the files also ended up with 755.
I thought running Setup would fix that, but no.

"Bob Ray writes in his book: If your host is using suPHP or suExec, you may need to set the permissions to 644 and the directory permissions to 755"

So that might be the case. I have tried to CHMOD the directories inside the Manager to 755 but that still leaves the files as 755.
Could that be a feature to add in the future, the correct CHMOD of both files and directories inside the manager ?

Now I am trying to do this via FTP, looking for an easy way out.

                  Kindly
                  Daniel

Been in contact with my provider and it shows that ModX uses too much memory. When I try to load Package Management the memory usage goes through the roof (1GB). I am only in the manager, the webpage is not loaded.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a solution. All of my php info is attached in the top post.

Think, the problem is the combo: suphp and filepermissions.
I found this script to fix filepermissions: http://boomshadow.net/tech/fixes/fixperms-script/

Unfortunately i am on mac right now and my host will only let me connect via SSH by:
                      http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/download.html

So I will try this tomorrow on a PC, and let you know.

I have tried re-uploading ModX and running setup, but that only fixes some of the file permissions to 755/644, so there is a lot of files that modx cant access.
