Is there any way to make the subscription confirmation optional? I have a use case where users are signing up for something else that requires confirmation, and I want to let them check a box to sign up for a newsletter at the same time. But I don't want them to have to deal with two confirmation emails instead of one.

Hi, I've tried to use custom modifiers (and also snippet IF) in the newsletter template though these render as code in the received newsletter. Is there any way to use conditional logic?

Also I've added custom TV's to the template in this format: [[*contentRow2]] - these TV's aren't parsed at all. System TV's [[*content]], [[*longtitle]] etc are all parsed fine. Could you advise?

@lokust I think this may have to do with the way MODX parses a resource. I will review with in the next week or so and see if I can figure it out.

On a side note, I have added many more features and will hopefully be releasing an update this week, if all goes well. One change will be the name, I decided to go with just Eletters as I have also written a FormIt email hook for the extra.

Glad to hear there's a new version coming!

I have been experiencing an issue with links in emails. I am not able to get them to render properly. If I add a link to the body of the message, no matter where it points it comes out with this address: http://www.[myurl].org/?t=5%7Cab560110e539fb154a4b1b61fb17503f. This applies to the "you subscribed at" link at the top, and to the "view email as web page" link as well. I am using the default templates and settings. Any idea what's going on? A bug fixed in the new version, perhaps?

@jgulledge19 - so out-of-the-box GroupEletters currently supports built-in TV's such as content, description, longtitle though not custom TV's?

              Looking forward to the update.

              Thanks.

Yeah, I'd be very interested in the ability to add custom fields to the user subscription database.

Woohoo! The new version seems to have fixed the link issue. Big thanks to you, Joshua, for all the work that obviously went into the new version, and for going the extra mile to make it available to us. This is going to help tremendously with a project I've had on hold. I'll post back here with any problems I run into.

Any news yet on the custom TV?
