I hope that it'll be the replacement for DitsNews addons, since it havent had any status of dev for a year (although it worked for me, I'm still looking for way to import a list of user, not by the way of importing by hand to database).
Just to elaborate on the comparisin with DitsNews.. I am also using it atm, because i think its the only newsletter addon out there using custom tables for groups and users. Correct me if i am wrong but is this using modx built in group system for adding subscribers? Because for example i dont want to put in 3000 members into modx group..nor i want every subscriber to have the need of password\username for him to be subscriber.. name \ surname \ email is enough. Also not a fan of having it as a "template variable" option. Why not rather put it as the component in manager.

@yuka123 It uses it's own db tables. I prefer the TV method because this allows content editors to preview and set up and send emails as they create a page and make changes. I might make a secondary option of creating an eletter in the CMP.
@nepheus I would like to have an import/export feature at some point.
I've just install this extra. At first glance it's the thing I need. But I have some questions. Will it work if I don't install ditsnews? I found some links with ditsnews model. How its connected with CronManager? There is a little information in rtfm how it works.

It should not require any part of ditsnews. I will look and see if left something referenced to ditsnews. I intend to post more docs and an update with in the next 2 weeks.
My test message works fine. Thanks for your work. Will try other features of this extra.
I looked through processors and found there links to ditsnews model. May be this processor isn't used now.
