What was the reason to use a custom user table and not the built in user management?
Hi Martin,
I original set it up this way as looking at Ditsnews extra for an example and in some places of where I would like to use it would make to many MODX Users. I have been thinking about creating a way to send emails to User Groups and also allow MODX users to be associated with the EGroupUsers.
Is there a limit in MODx how big the user table could be? Any performance hits? Our component uses the MODx user table for subscriptions so it would be interesting to know.
Currently the site we are working on has about 3000 user and I cant see any problem.
Thank You for this grate addon!
Is it possible to set up in Email resource a fixed : from email, from name, reply to ?
Don't want site users to mess with it.

Yes set the default values for the TVs to something like: eletterFromName: [[++groupeletters.fromName]], eletterFromEmail: [[++groupeletters.fromEmail]] and eletterReplyEmail: [[++groupeletters.replyEmail]] and then hide those TVs. I have not verified that the system settings will work here but I will on the next release.
Ooo! so simple. Thanks,
Is it possible to set up a default email group to subscribe to?
I see this snipped [[GroupEletterFormListGroups?]] that create list of groups. But I don't want to give it as an option but rather set a default group that always people get subscribed to.
I found the solution to my problem. I've added to my subscribe form this <input type="hidden" name="group[]" value="1" /> . And set the value to the number of my newsletter group.
What is the groupeletters.trackingPageID setting? And how to make use of it?
Bug?
When sending final newsletter instead of email content I get this [[!GroupEletterQueue]]. But the test newsletter has a proper content.
I'm running Revo 2.2.6 and GroupEletters 1 rc3
Any clue?
