I’m getting a 500 server error from that site. Are you using friendly URL, and the .htaccess file? Did you rename both ht.access files, the one in the site root and the one in the /manager directory?
yes, i am using friendly urls and htaccess but had never had a problem before. both .htaccess files are properly renamed. idk what is up?
don’t know if this has anything to do with anything, but i’m also getting this error message when i login to manager.
Configuration warning: ’register_globals is set to ON in your php.ini configuration file’
is there an easy way to change that?
i disabled friendly urls--same problem still. so i don’t think it’s that.
Is it all default content or something your own? have you checked that the site start and unavailable etc id’s point to correct documents in configuration? is there any snippets running on the main page? have you tried to access any other documents via full url?

It’s a future site of a small retail store. and yes it does have numerous pages with content and the start and unavailable all work fine. trying to access any pages does not succeed by full url.
what is weird though is that through the manager i can see any pages. that makes me think it might be an htaccess error or some other internal setting. who knows?
Have you tried re-uploading your files? Although if I understand you correctly you can view the site via the preview window in the Manager...? That would indeed be very odd.
yes. i can view the site through the preview window as well as in the browser only when i am logged into the manager. i’ll try reuploading...although i have my doubts it will help anything.

It acts like a conflict with a shared server hosting configuration and the MODx htaccess... that or that ht.access was not renamed to .htaccess in both the manager folder and the root MODx installation (sometimes FTP programs show cached file listings). Also make sure to clear your cache from the manager, and re-upload the main index.php folder and the contents of the manager folder, making sure to keep your /manager/includes/config.inc.php file.
Also, when you upgraded from rc3 to 095 final did you re-run the installer in upgrade mode in the location that the site’s in now?
