    The user setting overrides the system default.

    Will future versions allow for batch changing of user-settings? Right now, it’s kind of tedious to do that for 100+ users. tongue

      Run something like this in a snippet:

      $table = $modx->getFullTableName("user_settings");
      $new_field_value = "which_editor=’new_name_of_editor’";
      $where = "which_editor=’old_name_of_editor’";

      $modx->db->update($new_field_value, $table, $where);

      I did this really fast, so not sure it works, check syntax here: http://www.modxcms.com/dbapi-update.html
      Also I don’t know the names of editor, chech that on your settings.

      And backup database before doing it wink

          Sorry if this not the appropiate place, but it seems there is something in the Manager that references an incorrect url. In my Apache error log I get this repeatedly:

          [tt][Wed Nov 01 17:40:36 2006] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] File does not exist: W:/var/www/pub/localhost/wwwroot/includes, referer: http://localhost/modx/manager/[/tt]

          The MODx installation is at [tt]W:/var/www/pub/localhost/wwwroot/modx/[/tt] (I’m guessing this may be why Opera is showing the hour glass cursor a lot.)

            Hmmm, I just checked my apache error log and I get something similar.

            File does not exist: /home/andy/public_html/includes, referer: http://www.foo.com/~andy/topdog/manager/

            I have MODx in:

            /home/andy/public_html/topdog

            Everything works fine though.

            Andy

            Maybe that’s the js session keep alive thing..? there is/was some path error in it. It was recently discussed in some topic..

            Admin note: Quite likely. If you have access, please test current SVN trunk which contains a fix. If not, RC due hopefully within 24 hours.

              There seems to be a character encoding bug in the current beta (and likely previous releases as well).

              A template is configured with two TVs: exampleTV and nestedTV.

              exampleTV is included in the page template as follows: [*exampleTV*]

              exampleTV is configured to display using the Image widget, and the Alternate Text property is set to: [*nestedTV*]

              Now, if [*nestedTV*] is assigned a value containing characters outside ISO-8859-1 (Latin-1) (for example, ™), those characters are not correctly encoded in the page output.

              MODX is configured with UTF-8 character encoding and multi-byte UTF-8 characters are displayed correctly in all other circumstances.

                I believe there’s a bug with QuickEdit in 0.9.5 beta 5 (rev 1785).

                QuickEdit fields created with the [*#content*] syntax still output the <quickedit:content /> tag when not logged in to the Manager, which makes the site invalid (X)HTML.
                I cannot reproduce this.
                On further testing, it looks like it only happens on the page served when you log out of the manager using the QuickEdit page menu (go > Logout).

                  Clicking the Apply button in a QuickEdit pop-up window causes this JavaScript error (Firefox 2):

                    Kevin,

                    Thanks for the great reports, especially regarding Quick Edit. smiley Can you please open up a bug report in our bugtracker? QE is due some tuneup work after 095 release. And if you’ve got any suggest code fixes to go with those bug reports, even better!

                    Thanks again!

                      I have some documents placed in document groups. I then use Wayfinder (and previously DropMenu) to list the documents based on which group the web user is in.

                      I am finding that at random the document alias is being copied to the menutitle. Does this sound familiar? I’m sorry it’s vague and probably not much help but I hope that it may trigger a memory somewhere for someone.
