In Opera 7.23 the manager login page hangs when clicking the login button. I suspect that this is caused by that version not (or not fully) supporting the XMLHttpRequest but shouldn’t the dologin() function (and prototype) deal with that?
function doLogin() {
var f, values;
if(!self.Ajax) document.loginfrm.submit();
else {
f = $(’loginfrm’);
params = ’ajax=1&’ + Form.serialize(f);
url = ’processors/login.processor.php’;
new Ajax.Request(url,{method:’post’,parameters:params,onComplete:ajaxReturn});
Form.disable(f);
return false;
}
If I hack the fuction and take out the ajax stuff it works offcourse. Do we even support Opera 7.23? (If we do I’ll submit bugreport and keep this version for testing, otherwise I think I’ll upgrade)
Opera 7 is an old browser it’s kinda like IE 4/5. I can get the Ajax stuff to work with Opera 7 (using java) but I’m wondering what would prevent users from using opera 8?
MODx 095 Supported Browsers:
* Opera 8 (recommend Opera 9 or higher)
* IE 6+
* FF 1.0+
* Safari 1.2+
Any other recommendation?
For several Snippets an PlugIns it would be useful if the would use the global base_path for file inclusions.
E.g.: QuickEdit ($base_path), Ditto and Wayfinder ($GLOBALS["base_path"])...
Greetings
Again, I’m not sure if this is a bug or a misunderstanding on my part.
I upgraded from an older revision to 1785. I then switched from FCKeditor to TinyMCE. Actually I removed TinyMCE, ran the upgrade install to install TinyMCE and make sure all the settings for TinyMCE were correct.
1. I log in as admin and edit the Interface Settings in the configuration. I change the editor to TinyMCE. The notes state this setting is for all users.
2. I can edit pages as admin using TinyMCE just fine.
3. I create a role called "Editor" that can edit pages but not change the site configuration. I create a user called "editor" based on the role "Editor".
4. I log in as "editor". The RTE used is FCKeditor, not TinyMCE.
When I change the RTE when logged in as manager using the system configuration, shouldn’t this change the RTE editor for the other users as well? How do I get it to change?

You can specify the RTE for each user on the user management screen. The "User" tab, scroll down the page some.

The user setting overrides the system default.
