    Hi to all again!

I found simple fix for a minor bug in a MODxLight manager theme in beta’s (at the moment I mean 0.9.5 beta 4 rev 1557 from SVN). wink

Bug description: in top frame of MODx Manager with MODxLight theme there are green tabs. Active tab has at the bottom of it a row with some buttons. The width of this row in Mozilla (1.5.0.7) and Opera (9.0.1) is a full browser window width, but in IE 6 (6.0.2600.0000) sometimes wink this differs. So far you click on next tab to the right from currently active, so more width of row reduces (not covers full width of browser window). I included some screenshots of this behaviour.

Bug fix: of course, this happens due to some IE 6.0 specific. laugh In the manager/media/style/MODxLight/style.css file width of the .subnav class is defined as 100%, but for IE this is not enough... laugh So I propose to change this setting to 200% or so - this fixes bug and is completely safe in this CSS. I tested this fix in IE 6.0 (6.0.2600.0000), FF 1.5 (1.5.0.7) and Opera 9 (9.0.1).

I ask developers team touch this a bit and change 1 (one) byte smiley, It gives the beautiful MODxLight manager theme more consistent look in all browsers (including buggy IE 6.0).

P.S. Due to some issue with my prior fix suggestions (concerned with QuickEdit.js), I attached to this post already patched style.css from manager/media/style/MODxLight/ folder of 0.9.5 beta 4 rev 1557 (from SVN).

Am I correctly understanding that MODxLight needs to be the manager theme? A straight upgrade from 0.9.2.1 with the default theme produces this when I try to log into the manager:
Warning: include_once(media/style/MODx/style.php) [function.include-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/qualityu/public_html/manager/index.php on line 175

      Warning: include_once() [function.include]: Failed opening ’media/style/MODx/style.php’ for inclusion (include_path=’/home/qualityu/public_html/manager/includes/’) in /home/qualityu/public_html/manager/index.php on line 175

sparselogic: Yes. If your theme is "Default" it automatically converts; if it is "MODx" it doesn’t. Minor oversight.

Now to quote someone who posted in the wrong place:

        Hi
I just install and test it quickly.

        • 1. the francais.inc.php in /manager/includes/lang is still in iso8859-1 instead of being in utf-8
        • the version is always :
          * Date: 2005/12/21, 08:54 UTC / * Version: 1.3 / * MODx version: 0.9.1
        • I have this bug to : "Un ou plusieurs détails de configuration ne sont pas valides :
I like the new manager but the color seems to be a little bit... acid shocked
A little darker please for people have fragile eyes? grin

I continue some test this week-end if I have some time more.

"Version 2 / 0.9.5" lang files are being worked on, and the aim is to switch to UTF-8. The ones in Beta 3 are not up-to-date with the English 0.9.5 lang.
I believe that french error message is saying that there aren’t as many language definitions in French as there are in English. Not surprising as they’re out of sync. As a general rule, the languages will always be out of sync in Betas and in sync in Release Candidates.
A variety of manager themes are available including a dark one.
No, I don't know what OpenGeek's saying half the time either.

Just upgraded from 1417 with a file downloaded on Sep27 and couldn’t even open the manager because style.php was missing from the MODx theme. I got round this by creating an empty style.php file.

In the configuration editor, interface and editor settings tab I get the following
Warning: getfckeditorsettings(/Users/ed/Sites/gt/assets/plugins/fckeditor/lang/english.inc.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /Users/ed/Sites/gt/manager/includes/document.parser.class.inc.php(705) : eval()’d code on line 112

Warning: getfckeditorsettings(): Failed opening ’/Users/ed/Sites/gt/assets/plugins/fckeditor/lang/english.inc.php’ for inclusion (include_path=’/Users/ed/Sites/gt/manager/includes/’) in /Users/ed/Sites/gt/manager/includes/document.parser.class.inc.php(705) : eval()’d code on line 112

appearing just before the tinymce settings heading

the final 3 items have no caption

This was present for me in 1417, I have not included everything in my install. N.B. there is no directory called fckeditor anywhere in the beta3 download nor anywhere in the rev1417 download. I started with a virgin 1417 install

More manager login weirdness - I was able to use an existing logged-in manager session, but can’t log in again.
Warning: include_once(media/style//style.php) [function.include-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/qualityu/public_html/manager/index.php on line 175

From looking at line 175, it seems that something isn’t properly recognizing .$manager_theme. (But I had set it to MODxLight...)

I like the new manager theme, but one thing I don’t like is that un-published documents now have a line through their names. This makes them look too similar to the documents that are in the recycle bin, and at first I was worried that emtpying the recycle bin would also erase those documents. I would prefer going back to a different colour, or maybe showing them in grey like now but without the strikethrough.

I must be doing something wrong because it doesn’t appear anyone else reported this problem (unless I missed it - sorry):

Create a new document (ID = 2) and set it to published
                    Edit document ID 1
Select some text and create a link with the URL [~2~]
                    Save
Refresh site and click on link

Instead of going to http://www.foo.com/index.php?id=2 it goes to http://www.foo.com/manager/index.php?id=2

                    I’m using FireFox 1.5.0.7.

Indeed I can reproduce this in IE6 as well. It only happens when the link is added via TinyMCE, and the link is actually written wrong in the code (href="manager/[~1~]"). So this seems to be a TinyMCE configuration issue and not a core code issue (although it’s still gotta be fixed...).
