When I’ve seen this it has also been due to newlines in the middle of the snippet call, introduced in my case by pasting in from a PDF original. If you pasted in the call, try typing it in from scratch and see if you still get a problem.

No luck so far. Have tried adding the calls as ’cleanly’ as possible, but still not working.

How about the PictureManager side - where is this supposed to be in ManagerManager?

And can I just check another thing ... when I installed, I FTP’d the maxigallery folder into assets/snippets and I put the galleries folder into assets - right?

      Thanks

          Hi epx,

try to disable RichText for that document ( Edit Resource -> Page Settings -> tick off "Rich Text" ) and try calling MaxiGallery uncached ->
          [!MaxiGallery? &display=`childgalleries`!]

          [!MaxiGallery? &display=`embedded` &embedtype=`slimbox` &pics_per_row=`3` &max_thumb_size=`110` &max_pic_size=`0` &thumb_use_dropshadow=`1`!]

to get quicker responses concerning problems you are running into with MaxiGallery, rather post in the MG part of the forum: http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/board,181.0.html

read beforehand this post, there’s some usefull information: http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,36851.0.html

          hope i could help, j

            Hi!
There is a variable because of i have no peace. It’s called «documentListing». It is located in DocumentParser class (./manager/includes/document.parser.class.inc.php).
So, where exactly does it assigned? Where is that line number where is written smth like «$this->documentListing = bla-bla some function eg»?

Eol, thanx, it was exactly what i was searching for — variable «$this->documentListing» is constructed from variable «$d» in file siteCache.idx.php. But, from what is constructed variable $d?

Okay, total newbie to MODx and while I see the content some of you have generated using this software and how flexible it is, the documentation is frustrating to sort through and I can’t seem to find what I want. I just installed the software locally and want to play around with the default template but I can’t seem to find a good walkthrough explaining where the built-in features are located.

So, for starters... Where in hell can I find the information located within the default template’s Wayfinder menu bar so I can change the links listed within the menu? That’s the kind of silly simplistic stuff I keep getting stuck on. Any help would be appreciated.

Holy crap, I just figured it out. That’s slick.

Still, it would be nice to have improved documentation to walk users through the default (not minimal) template. It would allow people like me to jump in and figure things out without sorting through 10 different sources of information (that all seem to base the tutorial around the minimal template). grin
