Am I doing this the most efficient way possible in the context of MODx?
I have a need to display the content of a specific resource on other resources. The goal is to have my client edit that single resource and it updates in all the applicable areas on the website.
1. I've created a chunk called 'feature' containing a getResources call for the resource I want to display.
2. I place the chunk in multiple places on the website where I want the content to appear.
3. I (or the client) edits the resource and it updates everywhere I've placed the chunk
Is this the most efficient way to do this in MODx?
Thanks!
J (MODx 2.2)
@jeffmiranda: That's definitely the long way around.
You can either create an @RESOURCE TV, or (probably faster) use the getResourceField snippet to pull the content from the other resource.

PLEASE, PLEASE specify the version of MODX you are using . . . PLEASE!

How could I set that some usergroup can edit only main CONTENT of document (not name, description, settings, TVs, ...)?
@BobRay: Thanks Bob, I had no idea about either of those methods. I think the geResourceField snippet would be best for my situation. Much appreciated!
