I uploaded the file you mentioned but it made no difference. I have already checked the paths and files many times and also reinstalled everything. My friend has tried MODx with the SMF Connector too and had exactly the same problem. Maybe it’s an issue with MAMP for Mac or something? I’m a real newbie so how do I debug the smf.sync.class.inc.php? Thanks for the support! smiley

No its not MAMP because I use it as well and I too had that problem early on but it went away once I had everything plugged in correctly. I know many times we think all the config are set properly you’d be surprise how we miss the smallest of things. I had to triple quad-triple check everything down to the traling / and the quotes ""

pretend its your first time installing it, re-read instructions, perhaps reinstall mod even,

      CMS base url http://localhost:8888/modx/
Forum base path /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/modx <-- note left off trailor / not sure if it matters but its working

      fill out login/logout doc ID,

i have coppermine gallery and mediawiki bridged to my smf.
will this still work after installing the module, or not, because the logins now are handled with modx?

Does this module allow the use of SMF for story/article commenting similiar to the discussbot discussed here: http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=100089.msg649303#msg649303

I am having trouble with my installation.

After sellecting the option of installing both the module and plugin for the connector and clicking next I recieve the following error

Setup will now attempt to setup the database:

Creating connection to the database: OK!

            Selecting database `[my_domain]_database_name`: OK!

My instprocessor.php does not actually contain a main(sqlParser.class.php) according to my "find" searches and I’ve downloaded the file several times but still there is no main(sqlParser.class.php). Is anyone else having this problem or is there someone who knows what I am doing wrong? I’d really like to get this up and working but I just can’t troubleshoot this alone.

I just tried to download the .zip and .tgz files from the first post and they both have sqlParser.class.php files. The path in the archive is SFM_Module\upload these files\install\sqlParser.class.php

Your existing SMF users should still be able to login from coppermine gallery. Give it a try and let me know of the results.
