Hi. This is my first post in this forum. I have a problem with the SMF Bridge.
I have installed the bridge while carefully reading the supplied manual.
But when I select SMF Connector in the Modules section and then
Synchronize Users I get the following error message:

      Not Found
The requested URL /modx/assets/modules/smforum/ was not found on this server.

      Apache/2.0.55 (Unix) PHP/5.1.2 DAV/2 mod_ssl/2.0.55 OpenSSL/0.9.7i Server at localhost Port 8888

But this directory definitely exists in the appropriate place. I am on Mac OS X using MAMP.

Please help me and thanks in advance!

ah yes MAMP i’m using that too, you may have to check your path, where is your SMF dir located in the mamp htdocs dir ? i moved mine to user dir but either will be ok, if its in the Applications then you have to set the path to include that path from applications/MAMP/htdocs/smf or however you got it set up there

I have set it up exactly like this and the path is correct. If I set an incorrect path I’m not even able to run the module in MODx, so this seems not to be the issue. But I have also tried to put the smf folder into different folders inside and outside the htdocs folder correcting the path everytime without success.

I use to have that error as well and it was a path issue I believe or the log.class.php can’t remember, if you follow the instructions on that link it should work out for you

I have verified the path using getpath.php and it was correct. I have also updated log.class.php in the /manager/includes folder. It still doesn’t work for me. embarrassed

                  Ok

Is this the entire message? No line numbers or the name of the file it’s trying to load?

                  Not Found
The requested URL /modx/assets/modules/smforum/ was not found on this server.

You might also want to try debugging the module code or the smf.sync.class.inc.php to see where it’s throwing this message.

Another thing that would be causing this is a corrupt file. Try uploading this version the smf_api_1.1.php:

I don’t believe it’s any real issue, one I first tried iinstalling the mod I receive this error to, don’t remember how I go it to work though, try uninstalling and reinstalling everything also double check the config, make sure the folders are in the correct location, etc that’s all I did I think and it worked after that.

the CMB base url would be something like this http://localhost:8888/modx/

                    base path like this /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/modx

I notice modxcms is smart they use the SMF login only so no worries about login issues between modx and SMF that seems to be the way to go, there’s too many issues with the SMF connect I think, it doesn’t keep clear tabs on users login or out.
