Yeah, tried all that. Working fine in FF. Just wanted to make sure it was a local or general problem. I’m not going to pursue the matter any further for now. Thanks for looking into it.

      For me the plugin (Rev.24) work fine in IE6, IE7 & FF2 with both MODx 0.95 (Rev.2109) & 0.9.6-RC2 (Rev.2410) smiley

Feature request: I’m using FF2 and when I invoke the Find dialog, I enter the search terms and press Enter. Nothing happens. I have to click with my mouse.
        Most distracting... sad
This feature has been added in the last SVN version (Rev.25)... Enjoy !

            All,

It took me a little bit to realize what was happening, but I have uncovered a rather small, yet still irritating bug with the plugin.

What I’ve witnessed is an unwanted event that occurs when switching Tabs while using tabbed browsing (In my case, FF 2.0).

Basically, if I am currently within EditArea modifying a document, and I press CTRL + TAB to jump to a new browser tab, EditArea is still recognizing the "TAB" keypress event and is inserting seemingly random, unwanted tabs (or sets of spaces) into various section of the code.

The fix for this is to check during the keypress/TAB logic if CTRL is also down, in which it should return false, or at least be an option.

Once I have some more time to work on some troubleshooting, I’ll see what I can post up for you guys.

            Thanks!

                Gildas,

What do you mean by Custom Filter? Is it relevant to the issue I brought up, or a new feature? If it’s a feature, what are some of the benefits of such?

                Thanks for the add!

You’re right, this is really ambiguous wink In fact the "good" sentence is : "The last SVN release (27) now includes a custom filter for the CTRL + TAB event."

Please forgive what is probably a simple question, but I am a beginner at the MODx game and would appreciate a pointer.

I have installed EditArea, and it works great for editing templates, chunks etc, but I’d also like to use it for editing assets like stylesheets etc under the file manager in MODx. I have selected OnDocFormRender in the System Events tab, and tried various configurations of the Enable Editor setup in the site configuration, but no joy.

I am clearly missing something, probably something simple. Can anyone help?

                    Jell

Please review the README.txt from the download, there are instructions on how to implement One core file *hack* to be able to use also for the FileManager... grin

Unfortunately, at this time, a core hack is required until we can get our request for the new System Event added....
