installation problem

French Frog, can you confirm if you are creating the database first? I’ve noticed in some configurations, especially with newer versions of MySQL (or perhaps it’s PHP 5 versions), that you must create the database or the installer is unable to select the proper database. Please rule that out and we’ll continue to try and resolve this installation anamoly.

Yep, I do and before someone starts with all the obvious and usual questions, yes I use a computer and not a pocket calculator, yes all the right repertories are properly chmoded, yes I get a green light for everything (and I even test the database connection button each time) and yes I did already install a few modx in my life, including this build, but at my other hosting place (infomaniak.ch) where it went without problem.

I have no idea what is going on. I tried to let the base be and reinstall over it. I tried on new bases.  I tried in php5. I changed the name. I am puzzled 

Very strange... It’s strange that the error string replacement doesn’t work since it test the very string you get displayed (e.g ’Nom du champ’ et ’Nom de la clef’ and ’déjà utilisé").

One thing that would be nice is a phpinfo() to know what’s in your Celeonet’s setup...

Edit : Wait a minute... I am not at home (on the road) I can’t find it back but I remember downloading and install fix for 0.9.0 which contained a mmodified version of instprocessor.php, did you install this as well ?

Thanks but it did not change a thing. I am done for the time being.

Does anyone have a contact at that host that can help us figure out what the heck is going on... it makes NO sense whatsoever.

I am checking what sort of access I could give you guys in order to let you check what’s going on (I have 4 websites subhosted there)...

I requested another Mysql user from celeonet tech support (I only have one for all my bases - are belong to us-).
