Ditto randomly stopped sorting things correctly? [not solved, but not modx prob]

I’ve upgraded to the latest version of Ditto (2.1.0, right?) but it doesn’t seem to have effected anything on my site.

The development version contains several fixes that the stable release does not have yet. You can get a copy from the link in my signature.

still no dice, even with Ditto version 2.1.1.SVN. here’s the debug for this latest version:

i will note tho, that it DEFINITELY has something to do with the hosting, because i confirmed that they did in fact move my account to a new server, and when i compared the version on the new server (which is the live version of the site) to the old version on the no-longer-accessible server everything still worked the way it did prior to when things broke a week or so ago.

i don’t know if that helps, but that’s all i know. if i should ask my host any specific questions to help get to the bottom of this i can, just let me know what to ask.

While I sift through the debug data, adding &sortBy=`id` &sortDir=`DESC` should work around the problem as newer shows will logically have greater IDs.

interesting. when i add the &sortDir=`DESC` tag to the call, it actually breaks the page. i get the following error in the browser when i try to load the page:

i don’t know what has happened now, but today when i tried to go to my site the whole thing is down. I had removed the &sortDir=`DESC` tag from the call and everything (other than the page which uses Ditto for it’s listing) was still working fine. but now all i get no matter where i try to go on the site:

Really sounds like when they "upgraded" your server, they put some serious restrictions on the MySQL bits or put you on a server with heavy MySQL users.

oh yeah, big time. ipower.com is horrible. the database was just totally broken today (nothing to do with modx) and it took them 2 hours to get it up and running again. now that it is, i was able to add the extra bits of code to the Ditto call, but much to my chagrin, this didn’t result in any change in terms of the sort order.
