You mean, about how to use the plugin ?

Well, I certainly could it’s not very complicated you have an interface to set keywords to be linked, abbreviated or turned into accronyms. Just add the <autolink> tags in your templates and you’re set... Yeah sure I could do some capture and write this up !

One quick thing for you Garryn, I don’t know if it’s worth pursuing but I found out IE was not styling <abbr> at all...

Of course I could use <accronym> instead but I thought I’d share the solution I found on the internet :
      http://www.sovavsiti.cz/css/abbr.html

I don’t know if it could be easily patched into the plugin, just thought I’d mention it though it’s not essential...

        Hi Garry !

I need a little feature wink I would like to display for a word a div which contains explaniation of the abbreviation, a small text and a link to a web site.

For example, I want to use an abbreviation for PDF. When cursor is hover, I would like a small div appears to display
        Portable Document Format
It is a universal format file created by the company Systems Adobe for the diffusion of the documents (of text types, posts, interactive slide, plan, forms...)
        See more on wikipedia
I believe this is not possible. Please, say that it is possible !! smiley
Sorry for my english. I&#39;m french... My dictionary is near me, but it&#39;s only a dictionary !

Currently, it’s not possible with the existing code. If a suitable tooltip script could be found, I think it may be possible to hack the plugin to make it have this functionality. I’ll have a look around and see what’s out there - if anybody knows of any decent tooltip classes then please let me know smiley

@David: Thanks for the link to the <abbr> information, I’ll look into this.

I searched and found this for my request : DOM Tooltip 0.7.2.
It is a very powerful tooltip. So it can be used for anything you want. Examples are at the right bottom

I’m going to have a look later on today to see if domTT can be integrated into the plugin - it looks like it should pretty easy to get this up and running (well, probably just cursed myself by saying that tongue )

It’d be a great addition to Autolink smiley

Hey Garry & David, IE does’t support the ABBR tag, although there are some work arounds like JS or putting it inside a span.

                     <abbr title="Cascading Style Sheets">CSS</abbr>

                    would be

                    <abbr title="Cascading Style Sheets"><span class="abbr" title="Cascading Style Sheets">CSS</span></abbr>

Absolutely, exactly the solution I gave Garry the pointer to the guy who came up with the span trick...

It would be nice to have this built-in grin

Anyway, Garry : I have tested the accents some more, no issue whatsoever great work !
