[Module/Plugin] Autolink (ala phpGiggle)

Okay folks, new version posted in the first post of this thread. Those upgrading from Version 1a will only need to update the plugin.

Updates in this version are:

• Support for accented characters.
• IE fix for the <abbr> tag.

To look forward to in the next version:

• domTT integration for those special tooltips
• A completely reworked module interface - trust me, it will be much easier to use!

I noticed a bug while using Autolink with cyrillic keywords. First of all the new version renders cyrillic words unproperly, so I have to use an older version. The bug is - if I have a lowercase keyword and Autolink reneders it on a page where this word is present in Capital letter - all of the rendering on this page will be Capitalized.

For example:
keyword: слово
rendered page content:
URL динамической страницы, не содержащий в себе параметров, например http://имясайта.ru/page.html. Он выглядит как URL реально Слово существующей статической страницы, хотя никакого файла page.html на сревере нет. Слово на самом деле, этот URL должен выглядеть приблизительно так: http://имясайта.ru/index.php?id=1, что не особо удобно для ввода в ручную или запоминания. Генерирование дружественных URL становится Слово возможным в MODx благодаря функциям сервера Apache и дополнения mod_rewrite.

Thanks Yentsun for the bug report about the capital letters - it’s something that has been reported in the past, I’m yet to put my finger on the problem ... I’ll have another look over the code.

I’ll also check out the cyrillic character rendering problem ... the changes I made for the accented characters shouldn’t affect this - something isn’t quite right somewhere

And thank you for giving with the module one of the major features on our modx.ru site we have the glossary and linking the terms all over the site to it.

Hi, I have peen playing with this plugin and it is very nice. As I understand it, it replaces the keywords just before the webpage is sent to the server. I used this with a rather large keyword list (about 80 keywords) on long pages. Page loading times increased considerably, I guess even when pages are being cached. I tried this on 0.9.2.2 and 0.9.5RC2

In this case, could it be a good idea to have the plugin running when pages are saved or cached? Or have a choice in this?
