Support/Comments for Quip 1.2.0-rc2

Help! Posting comments with Quip works fine for me using the following code, but it always shows 0 comments on the front end. The manager is working perfectly though.

Every time a resource is viewed with the Quip call in it, I get the following in error.log (note I don’t get this on resources without Quip)

[2010-12-06 19:48:15] (ERROR @ /index.php) Error 00000 executing statement:
Array
(
[0] => 00000
)

I am unfortunately using the php 5.1.6 release that modx don’t particularly like, so I figure I will have to butcher quip to make it work but the error doesn’t give me any clue on where to start. Modx is revo 2.0.4-pl2, apache under linux

My issue resolved itself when I moved to my production server.

OK I’ve fixed this. For your reference, in my case using true and false in the xPDO statements didn’t work, probably because I’m on php 5.1.6

So in the Quip snippet, I had to change all the instances of

’quipComment.approved’ => true
and
’quipComment.deleted’ => false

to read 1 and 0 instead of true and false, and now it’s working.

Shaun, I don’t know if you read this, but it might be worth changing this in the production code, so that other 5.1.6 sufferers can still use quip? I know PDO *should* be able to cope with this, but it doesn’t.

Revolution says in it’s System Requirements that we do not support 5.1.6. I’d *strongly* recommend upgrading, as this will become an issue for you later on.
