thanks pixelstation for the reply. I did update that section. I went as far to change all the lexicon settings too

Just trying to change the display name: from Quip to website name.

I’ve tried to modify these settings too.

$modx->mail->set(modMail::MAIL_FROM, $emailFrom);
$modx->mail->set(modMail::MAIL_FROM_NAME, '2012 notes');
$modx->mail->set(modMail::MAIL_SENDER, '2012 notes');
$modx->mail->set(modMail::MAIL_SUBJECT, $modx->lexicon('quip.spam_email_subject'));
$modx->mail->address('to',$emailTo);
$modx->mail->address('reply-to',$emailReplyTo);

Hopefully someone can point me easily to the spot I need to change.

Ok but if you hardcode those settings its possible you could lose them if you upgrade to a later version of Quip (someone correct me if im wrong)

I know about the hard coding -> sometimes you just gotta do it - document well.

Cleared your cache? The settings inside system settings worked for me

yes it did. flushed caches -> flushed -> all sessions.... display name is always Quip - everything works great though just wish I could change the "Display Name".

Sort DESC error with pagination:

I try to sort descending and paginated. Descending works without pagination. With pagination on, the order of the pages is wrong: it shows the page with the oldest comments as page 1, the page with the newest comments as last page.

This is the call I use:

[[!Quip? &thread=`blog-post-[[*id]]` &threaded=`0` &useGravatar=`0` &dateFormat=`%x` &sortBy=`createdon` &sortDir=`DESC` &limit=`5`]]

How can I get a descending order of pages?
