Thanks! I will give that a try. (just ran the SQL and the problem is resolved now)
Three more things:
- in the "event.list.event.html" file for the default theme line 7 (<P>[+mxcEventListItemStateDateStamp+] - [+mxcEventListItemEndDateStamp+]<P>) should be changed to use lowercase <p> and also the close tag tag </p> is missing
- The event links call out target="", which the XHTML validators do not like, so if we could not include the target if null, that should solve the issue
- Is there a way to style just the day name row (mon,tue,wed...)? I am looking to have that be a different background color.
- It looks like the "today" class is being applied to today’s day in past and future months as well as the current month

How do you update from 0.6-rc3? In the release notes it says:
* Updated FileList:
|- mxCalendar.class.php
|- includes/calendar.inc.php
|- Release_Notes.txt
And of course to update the snippet and module code, so I replaced those files and replaced the code.
But now I’m getting a SQL error: Unknown column ’E.restrictedwebusergroup’ in ’where clause’ »
I gather this is a new column that the previous release didn’t have?

FYI, if you are using PIE.htc to enable rounded corners in IE, the calendar will crash the browser in all versions of Internet Explorer if the behavior is specified for any element of the calendar.
(Can’t have rounded corners in IE)

The questions to styling the day name row to a different background color, assuming monthly view, can be altered through CSS targeting or a costom chunk to replace the current heading, which I just found a bug on the parser so it will also be corrected. The custom chunk for the "day" label headings is: &mxcTplMonthDayBase=``

Did you download the package file and open the Manager > Modules > mxCalendar to complete the update? When you load the module manager it runs the necessary scripts to update the database.
Manual Update: (assuming "modx_" is your table prefix)
ALTER IGNORE TABLE `modx_mxcalendar_events` ADD `restrictedwebusergroup` VARCHAR(128) NULL DEFAULT NULL AFTER `category`
