Support/Comments for mxCalendar 0.0.7-rc4

I am now getting the event listed for the event "list" view.
But now I am back to having problems with the Ajax window popping up.
When clicking on an event it just goes to a blank white window with the event details listed.

I am using version 0.0.7-rc4
I have also downloaded version 0.0.7-rc4a and the patch.

Still no luck with the Ajax view...

Hi,

A great module however I’ve come across a slight problem which I don’t understand about multi day events. I’m not sure whether it should cope with multi day events or do I just put in an event for each day?

It’s still early days so I’ve still got to sort out the formatting but I’ve just set up a website for the local Scout district. I’ve installed mxCalendar and I wanted to create one event for some training that started on 7:30pm on 1st October and finishing on Sunday at 4pm on 3rd October.

On entering the event over the three days there are a couple of queries about the list view.
If you look at the results

First in the list of events on the lefthand side it lists 3 events for Beaver Essentials, is there someway of combining this to have one event covering the 3 days? Have I missed an option or parameter somewhere?

Secondly and the really puzzling one for me is why does the last day list it as the 4th October? I’ve checked the MySQL database entries and it does list the finish date as the 3rd Oct yet the list on the website clearly goes 1st, 2nd and 4th October! Any clues or suggestions why it skips the 3rd end date?

I’ve probably done something wrong but I don’t know what.

p.s. before I forget I installed 0.0.7-rc4 and running Ubuntu 10.4, the categories and configuration tabs work fine on Opera and Firefox but I prefer Chrome and they are still coming up blank for me on this browser.

I just noticed in the "Add/Edit Event" tab a small issue with the "Start Date-Time" and End Date-Time" sections.
The mini calendar is not popping up.
The dates have to be manually entered.

The calendar would pop up in one of the previous versions I was using.
Is that something with my set up, or with version 0.07-rc4?

for your event that span 3 days, the best method to use is enter the event once and Use the Repeat event and select the "daily" and then have the end date as oct 3rd; see the attached screen capture and note you’ll want to make the times as you need but the other options should match. Then you’ll want to update your display multiple occurrences in the configuration to "False" see the second image attached.

Please let me know if you still have issues after that with the date, and I’m still puzzled by that one if you could take a screen capture of your entries in mxCalendar of those events so I can see if I can duplicate that issue.

sorry BobbyG66 - looks like a bug in an edit made to the JS where I switched out the calendar components in the last version.

I’ll get that updated and rolled into the next release.

It seems that on the configuration tab, these parameters are not working correctly: Day of Month Class, Enable Day of Month class

Whenever I try to set them and save the config, it resets back to defaults of null and ’false’

Hi I made the changes you suggested and left it as one event repeated a couple of times, which works fine for me.

To repeat the issue I think you need to enter a start time on the first day that is later than the finish time on the last day - does that make sense? Basically the training course I was trying to enter starts at 7:30pm in the evening on the Friday, runs all weekend and finished 4pm Sunday evening. By putting those dates and times in I was hoping for one event spread out over the 2 and a bit days.
In the mxEventList item 101 shows the correct start and finish times that I put in the mxEvent page. However when I list the calendar events I end up with the 1st, 2nd and 4th in the list. Maybe with the event starting at 7:30pm then on the Sunday the next 4pm will be Monday 4th? See listing attached. Fortunately the recurring event option works fine for me.

I found the root cause and have updated it and will be part of the next release which should be by the end of the week and the issue was how the reoccuring dates loop was handled and not the actual start/end times.

Item of note: Now it correctly adjust the times if the events span multiple days moving the end time to 23:59 and start time to 00:00 on full days, see attachment of the before and after below.
