I DO have ManagerOrderList and ManagerSearchFields.

Maybe it’s been updated since I installed.....

Actually ManagerOrderList and FoxyBackOrderList since to be the same. Ditto for ManagerSearchFields.

Another thing: Is it possible to distinguish Live transaction from test ones?

Regarding Live and Test transaction: this is what I found out; at present they’re indistinguishable as they come in from FoxyCart.

Has anyone used the coupon with FoxyBack? How are they being sent from FC in the datafeed? Does anybody know?

Hello All-
Im a huge ModX supporter and I have basically recommending/implementing it for my clients. I’ve recently picked up a client and will be developing a subscription based site for them. Since I am comfortable developing with ModX as the CMS front-end (templates snippets etc..) I was wondering how exactly ModX-->FoxyBack and foxy cart play together.

For instance if I want three user levels (public, subscriber & premium) is it safe to assume I can just set user groups to define access to the content? And if so is it safe to assume that foxyCart & ModX talk to eachother from a transactional standpoint? Something akin to a public user comes to the site, registers, pays for a subscription then FoxyCart sends the info to the MX database that they are all good and updates their user level automatically and from then on they will have whatever access level they purchased after they log in?

Then when their subscription runs out, they are bumped back down accordingly?

So all of the content management is handled by ModX (adding deleting content, creating sellable products such as downloads, etc...) and the transactional details are handled by FoxyBack/Cart, right?

As an aside is it possible to have protected content yet still have a teaser paragraph?

Just want to make sure before I commit to something...

The basic answer to your questions is yes, that’s exactly how it works. User permissions are updated by adding a user to a predefined group once subscriptions have been processed and permissions are removed when the subscription expires (if not extended before the expiry date).

I haven’t actually installed FoxyBack yet but I’ve created almost the exact system you want using the FoxyCart Webuser Paid Subsciptions setup. Three user levels public (default), registered users (signed up via WebLoginPE) and subscribers (FoxyCart approved) and it works like a charm. I’m sure FoxyBack will handle it just as well.

There are several ways of achieving this, you could use PHx;

or the MemberCheck snippet to determine user permissions and return either the full content or the teaser content depending on those permissions.

Thanks. By publish date it looks like foxyBack & WUPS are similiar, you think there is an advantage to using one over the other?

FoxyBack was released a year after Webuser Paid Subscriptions and I believe it combines both that and FoxyCart Inventory functionality.

It also seems to offer more functionality like automatically creating webusers from FoxyCart accounts. Linking both accounts wasn’t ideal with the subscriptions system as it generally required the user to login twice.

FoxyBack seems to be the future of FoxyCart integration but the description says it’s still in alpha. Perhaps it’s worth testing with both to see which suits you best. If you need any help with subscriptions setup let me know, I can’t help much with FoxyBack until I give it a go myself though.

It looks like you’ve all been in the weeds to get FoxyBack working. I am having a hard time understanding the:
1.bounce snippet on Order manager page-->Where does this need to point? What Do I use for the page id?
2. redirect snippet on Foxy-Order container-->Where does this need to point.?
3. where the links need to point in the chunks and snippets. do I hard code in the url for specific pages? And if so which ones?

Also, i have seen many mentions to Luke’s sample foxycart/modx site used for the secondavenue site. Is this still available?
