      Got some errors, Scotty -

      I created a new profile and it was all going well, then I got

      Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_VARIABLE, expecting ’(’ in .../assets/snippets/modcast/js/category.php on line 14

      It needs brackets around

      switch $pirate['topCategoryTAG']

      like this
      switch ($pirate['topCategoryTAG'])

      Fixed that, then I got

      Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING, expecting ’,’ or ’;’ in .../assets/snippets/modcast/js/category.php on line 49

      This requires that all the lines assigning values to the array from line 48 on have a ’.’ inserted before the closing quote, similar to this. Note the .’"); at the end of the line (you can’t do bold inside a code block).
      arrMainData["Audio Blogs"]["values"] = new Array("'.$jsBlank.'");

      Finally, for W3C validation

      <script language="JavaScript">

      should be

        Thanks for the fixes zenmaster, if you wouldn’t mind PM’ing me that it a txt file, I will add it to the zip. I already have a newer version, however, that does not require javascript, so this will be a moot point in a few days.

          Good evening,

          First of all please excuse my English...

          I have just installed your snippet and with the recording of the snippets [ MODcast ] and [ MODcastAdmin ] I have this error which appears in the manager:

          Warning: Unknown(assets/snippets/modcast/lib_getid3/getid3/getid3.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /homepages/36/d146326123/htdocs/manager/includes/document.parser.class.inc.php(691) : eval()’d code on line 74

          Fatal error: (null)(): Failed opening required ’assets/snippets/modcast/lib_getid3/getid3/getid3.php’ (include_path=’/homepages/36/d146326123/htdocs/manager/includes/’) in /homepages/36/d146326123/htdocs/manager/includes/document.parser.class.inc.php(691) : eval()’d code on line 74

          I however placed all the files on my ftp as of writing in the file "readme.txt", I even made a CHMOD 0777 on all files (modcast/lib_getid3/getid3/)

          Put besides that seems to function, I encountered the same problems announced by "zenmaster" and solved thanks to these councils

          Small question: the files ".DS_Store" which strew the files have they a utility or can I remove them without problem?

          to read you, cordially

            can you go to yourdomain.com/assets/snippets/modcast/lib_getid3/getid3/ and see if the file getid3.php is in the list there. the only time I have seen this error is when the path is wrong (maybe you edited it in MODcastAdmin), or the file does not exist.

            Sorry about that. I am a Mac OS X programmer, and the .DS_Store is a file used by OS X. you can safely delete it!

              Hello,

              The file exists and the path is correct, I did not modify the MODcastAdmin or Modcast snippets...

                    Hi edipo, you need to set that page to use the blank template. XML feeds won’t work correctly if you try and insert them into a HTML template.
