When I try to set up my podcast I go to the modcast admin page but cannot get past step 2. Once my inc.php file has been loaded and is ready to edit I press continue and then get a completely blank page. Any ideas?

Thanks for the fixes zenmaster, if you wouldn’t mind PM’ing me that it a txt file, I will add it to the zip. I already have a newer version, however, that does not require javascript, so this will be a moot point in a few days.

Hey Scotty, rockin’ work! You’ve mentioned here 5 months ago that you had a new version, but I’m guessing that marriage, other projects and general life have since gotten in the way... So any chance of an update soon?

        Thats not a bad idea.
I have been wanting to get the admin snippet into a module with prefrences stored into the database instead of a config file. I am working on a module to install resources (snippets, modules, tv’s, chunks, and plugins) with one click rather than ftp this, copy this to a new snippet, etc... Once I am done, I will get back onto modcast.

        later

Sounds fantastic! shocked I know it’s not even ready yet, but seems like it would make an excellent addition to the default MODx package! Consider this my "pre-nomination". grin

              Dear Dr. Delicious,

I’m sorry for being a month late for my semi-annual checkup. I know you’ve been occupied with Mr. Wizard for quite a while now, but is there any chance you can fit me into your schedule? If not, perhaps you can refer me to Dr. Opensource so I can get some upgrades... grin

              Sincerely,

              Mr. MODcast

Hey Scotty - please come back to this - it’s a great Modx addition.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_VARIABLE, expecting ’(’ in /usr/home/e31585/public_html/lokalprojekt/assets/snippets/modcast/js/category.php on line 14

                    Mine used to work great...

Now I’m getting: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_VARIABLE, expecting ’(’... too.

I did upgrade my modx to 1.0 (evo)

                    Any suggestions?

                      /*** SOLVED

Replaced eregi() with preg_match() and new syntax.

                      /SOLVED ***/

Upgraded to PHP 5.3.4 (from 5.2.14) and now ModCast stopped working. It looks like it uses eregi() in the snippet which is a deprecated function in 5.3. I've tried straight replacing eregi() with preg_match, but that didn't work.

Any thoughts on how to get it to work on a machine running PHP 5.3 would be awesome. [ed. note: presson83 last edited this post 14 years, 10 months ago.]
