I hope this isn’t a dumb question but is this normal output when you view the actual xml output. I haven’t tried subscribing to my poscast to see if it works yet. Normally I thought you would see the actual XML. I see this message in IE. I have the type set to text/xml and blank for template.

      Hi pastort.
this type of error generally occurs when you are trying to pass XML data in a page that contains other header information. The most probable answer is that the page you are calling [[MODcast]] from has a template selected. you should set "Uses Template:" to "blank", and under the "Page settings" tab, make sure that in the Content type dropdown "text/xml" is selected.

      good luck MODcasting,

I noticed that when I go to your xml link http://www.scottydelicious.com/modcast.xml i get the same error. My settings are correct and the admin code ran properly. My template is set to blank and type is text/xml.

I even tried to subscribe to your podcast url http://www.scottydelicious.com/modcast.xml but itunes tells me it is invalid.

Isn’t subscribing to a podcast as simple as inputting the url into itunes in the subscribe dialog box?

I figured it out Sorry for the questions but I found a small glitch. Nothing major.

I am not sure what caused the problem but it had to do with special characters in the copyright field of the xml. I deleted the copyright and replaced it and now everything works fine. I tried recreating the problem but nothing. Great script and thanks for your fast response.

I almost figured it out. The site will return xml output via the html link but not the xml link. the xml link returns an Internal Server Error 500. Have you seen any basic configurations give a 500? I will take a look at the server logs.

when I put my URL into iTunes, i just put http://www.scottydelicious.com/modcast because using modcast.html got a wrong format error and using modcast.xml got a server error.

I have tried but iTunes still says that isn’t a valid URL
