    * After install run the PhotoGallery Admin panel and click on the Install/Clear Galleries button.

    * Click the "Uninstall galleries" button to remove agllery tables

    1) Install was ok, except i got an error that intall dir could not be removed.
    2) Could not find the EPG2 Admin panel.
    3) Then i tried Resources - Manage Modules - Photo Gallery ’blue box icon’ and tried to RUN MODULE..
    .. and got a precious 0

Photo Gallery - Module runtime error:
An error occurred while loading the module. Please see the event log.

Photo Gallery - Module - Event log viewer shows this:
    Dynamically loaded extentions aren’t enabled

    SO--
    1) What is the problem and is there way to solve it?
    2) Can someone tell how to at least remove this gal?
( Click the "Uninstall galleries" button to remove gallery tables ) - i suppose it means to use the Gallery Admin panel that NEVER showed up in my MODx.

OK-- I managed to run the EPG2.

Try commenting out lines 68-75 inside the module code.

        See-- all the time I worked with the EPG2 assets/modules/epg2/module.epg2.tpl + re-run the install/
but in only worked out when i found out there is the same module.epg2.tpl file in the install/ dir, edit that one and re-install EPG2.

I am a designer, not a coder (and am sure not the only one in MODx community). I understand it may take some extra effort, but more detailed explanations may pay off, avoiding someone like me jellin’ around "this is not workin".

        Peace.

// will go and fix that damn gal now.

        P.S.
Another question: do i have to go to Resources - Manage Modules - Run Photo Gallery every time to access the EPG2 Admin Panel?

Glad to know that finally its working.

Updated module (containing the fix) will be available for download soon.

edit: Yes, you have to run module to access EPG2 AdminPanel.

          regards,

            Hello,

I have a problem. When I load large image in the manager like 1600x1200, it doesn’t work. Not really, it works but I’ve got a white thumbnail with all the information.
It looks like the image wasn’t upload in the database during operation.
But if I load small image like 200x100, it works huh
            I use easyphp.
            Do you know why
            Thanks

It must be your server issue, either it is on localhost or on server.

I recommend using XAMPP for offline/local development.

              Hope it helps.

              regards,

I am having the same trouble. It goes through the motions of uploading a file, but the images don’t appear in the gallery. If you copy the image url from the source and paste it into the browser, it just prints out the url requested, instead of outputting the image.

Here is the link to my phpinfo(): http://www.prayersforpeace.org/www.mattjones.org/modx/phpinfo.php

And here is a link to a page displaying this behavior. http://www.prayersforpeace.org/www.mattjones.org/modx/index.php?id=40

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! Could it be that if the image is too large, the file never gets saved? Also, just out of curiosity, are the files resized on upload and stored in the database that way? Are the files stored in the filesystem somewhere? As the full image, or the resized image?

                Peace,

                Matt

                  Can’t get the module running.

The error from the log: Not supported in multithreaded Web servers - use extension statements in your php.ini

This in in offline development - will using XAMPP fix this problem? Or can something be changed in php.ini?

Please carefully read the thread. ..

solution is there, you have to comment some lines in code.

                    regards,

Yeah! So fine, it work perfectly with all explains.

                      • A wish perhaps for the next version: could we imagine a bottom [Update all picture details] ?
                      • the pages aren’t affected by the urlrewriting like in all the website. Instead of we have somethings like:
                        http://localhost/modx/galerie.html?page=0&scope=1&sortby=user_order&dir=desc&pic=1
                      • http://localhost/modx/assets/modules/epg2/image.php?type=pic_large&id=1 is displayed directly if someone add manually the url and then increment the id number. Could we imagine a another generic image like somethings this:

                        Or somethings else laugh
                      • the slideshow seems not work by me undecided
