(originally posted in TinyMCE 2.0.4 topic, sorry...)

I first whitelisted the entire site, then disabled Adblock entirely in FF, but the Resource Browser doesn’t open, just the default TinyMCE insert image dialog. (ResourceBrowser works great in FCKEditor).

I’ve also tested IE6/Win and it gets the same simple insert image dialog.

This is with 2.0.5.1 taken from SVN and uploaded and installed to a patched 0.9.2.1 (rev 1005) MODx installation.

Be sure that the plugin is enabled in the JavaScript initialization on the page... I’m not sure whether or not you’re talking about a version of TinyMCE bundled with MODx, as I do not yet have the latest MODx.

But if this is something you’ve added yourself, don’t forget to check those JavaScript lines.

Just an FYI for everyone: I left off the spellchecker plugins for the time being. Because I wanted to get this new version out, I didn’t want to finish tweaking the plugins and testing them. The spellchecker plugin currently has a few quirks that need to be ironed out. As soon as I figure it out I’ll add it into TinyMCE and release it out. smiley

I just installed on a client site. It’s working wonderfully and producing clean code. How wonderful! Thanks for all your work on this. And luckily this client won’t need the spellchecker. smiley It’s an author site.

I think this is going to be more of an issue with QuickEdit than with TinyMCE itself. I’ve played a bit with it and...well...the hooks for assigning the width and height for TinyMCE are there but it doesn’t appear that QuickEdit is using them. So...need to play with it some more and see if I can hack QuickEdit a bit.

I’ve tried installing v2.0.6.1 of TinyMCE and it has caused errors every time. I would normally give the error message here but I’ve had to reinstall MODx altogether (for the 4th time). What I do remember is that I’d get an alert in the Administration/System Configuration window of the manager about some line being wrong or missing. I tried ignoring that, but then on any page I wanted to edit, I got just a basic text area box instead of TinyMCE. Oh, and on a couple of early attempts, I got cache errors and warning about certain files not existing.

I’m wondering if there’s a place I can download a previous version since this one seems pretty new (I have 2.0.2 running on a different site and it works beautifully). I’m not a big fan of fckeditor, so I’m trying to avoid it if possible.

Sorry I couldn’t post more detailed descriptions of the errors, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

                  Edit:
Well, I tried one last thing and now everything is working fine. The assets folder in TinyMCE was overwriting *everything* in the previous assets folder (from the MODx installation). Doh!

                    Hi,
Just installed the plugin and it works fine except that I need norwegian language for tinymce - and I just can not get anything but english. The language file for MODx manager comes up ok, but tinymce appears in english even if I hardcode the language name in the tinyMCE.init code in plugin.tinymce.tpl.

I would also like the content from Tiny to be utf-8 encoded.

Could someone with tinymce knowledge please tell me how to fix this? (yes, I already looked for solution in moxiecode.com forum without finding the solution.)
                    -And thank’s for MODx !

From what you say I understand that you made changes to the plugin.tinymce.tpl file? That file is only used during the installation process. It’s just a template (hence tpl). Try making your changes in the plugin itself. Open Manage Resources and goto the Plugins tab. You’ll see the TinyMCE plugin there.

                      Good luck
