Yeah, you set it in the snippet code. I’ll investigate this a bit and see if I can add it into the code and post a small update for ya.

My clients have been using FCKEditor in Modx for the last year. (and at times its a real pain) but a Rich editor is something clients like
I have installed TinyMCe today for the first time (Nice install Jeff) and had a mess around for a while and its 100 times better than FCK, so I won’t be using FCK again. I am not sure I even want to keep it on my own installs, just more files to manage and would prefer clients to just use one RTE for support. Anyone using FCK should install and check TinyMCE out!
The abilty to one-click full screen mode is great, all I want now is spellchecker plugins. I know the coders are working on this and its something I will look forward too seeing in the standard install.
Nice work guys.
Now all I need to know is how do you remove FCK and is it worth it anyway if the next upgrade includes it during install, I guess ideally during install it would be nice to have additional options to specify which RTE, Tiny, FCk or both.

Next release only includes TinyMCE, because it’s nicer to code.
Given that, the truly great thing about FCK is how easy it is to make custom toolbars. You can’t do that easily in Tiny at all.

Thanks good news Ryan
Never found custom toolbars a issue myself, really only wanted the RTE for image and text formatting, plus ability for users to add links and apply standard formatting.
usually I turn off anything that is more advanced..
The good news is that the latest version (2.0.6.1b) will let you customize the Full Featured theme by adding/removing both plugins and buttons from the toolbar. It requires a little knowledge of how TinyMCE works...which is pretty easy to figure out by browsing the docs on the TinyMCE website.
Regarding a spellchecker plugin...this is the next thing I’ll be playing with. The TinyMCE guys have a spellchecker plugin that should work pretty good...however, I need to test it and modify it so that it’ll work with just about all configurations and such. Hopefully should have that out pretty soon.

Jeff, any chance you could do a sample of the customizations and how to call that from MODx?

Now, why would I want to do that? That would give away way too much useful information and wouldn’t allow the user to find the information themselves. Where’s the fun in that?
Heh heh! Only kidding! Of course I’ll post an example. I’ll build a few screenshots and will post something this weekend.

I’ve also got a little question that I can’t seem to figure out; how can I make TinyMCE show up full-featured on the frontend as well? Right now it’s the minimal toolbar on the "Add Blog" page (default content) and it doesn’t display any toolbar on the QuickEdit pages, somehow.
