Does anyone know if the scrollbar (for Menu Tree) is supposed to be half-selectable?

Meaning that if I click and move on the left side, it works, but the right side does nothing. Weird thing is every other scrollbar works fine...

Ok. here are the problems I’ve encountered when going from 0.9.5 to 0.9.6.

On the 0.9.5 site I used a JS call to hide some of my content containers using
              <a class="toggle" onclick="new Effect.toggle( 'sidemenu' , 'blind')" title="Click to hide/show this frame."></a>

It worked fine in 0.9.5 for both FireFox and IE7(vista).  But, now with 0.9.6 the toggle effect only works in FireFox.

I also seem to have lost the QuickEdit menu in IE7(vista).  QuickEdit also still works fine in FireFox. Are these two things related.  Is there some default setting that’s different between 0.9.5 and 0.9.6? This wasn’t an upgrade. I made a clean install and have both running side by side.

The other difference is that 0.9.6 is using PHP 5.2.1 and MySQL 5.0.18.
... where as MODx 0.9.5 is using PHP 4.4.7 and MySQL 4.0.25

It’s been posted before but here’s what I found to get it to work in FF only:

                http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,15317.0.html

I looked into MooTools but I’m far from proficient. Hope it helps, if any! smiley

I noticed QuickEdit went haywire on trying 0.9.6. Have you tried to clear your cookies and your cache (FF allows per site cookies to be cleared only which is handy).

                  Hi !
i successfully upgraded modx 0.9.5 to 0.9.6, ( although i had to try twice because of an apache 500 internal server error )

there is a little bug i found, on the manager login page, the button is misplaced :

( maybe this occurs only with the french version )

I reported this issue earlier, it seems to be related to the "Forgot Password" link not showing up on the manager form. Whether the plugin isn’t installed, or whatever it is, when the forgot password link is present, the positioning is just right.

Update: In my research, I found out that no System Events where checked off for: Forgot Manager Login

                  Quote from: "Required

                  OnBeforeManagerLogin
                  OnManagerAuthentication
                  OnManagerLoginFormRender

                  Just to re-iterate/confirm: I have performed over 5 MODx 0.9.6 Upgrades, varying from 0.9.5, 0.9.5.1, and 0.9.6 RC2...

I am finding that the new Forgot Manager Login plugin IS created, but without the Plugin System Events checked:

                  Quote from: "Required

                  OnBeforeManagerLogin
                  OnManagerAuthentication
                  OnManagerLoginFormRender

I experienced this issue on each install. Since the plugin already existed prior to upgrade, one of the duplicate Forgot Manager Login plugins was flagged as disabled... Simply adding these events to the enabled plugin corrected the shift/overlap on the manager page every time.

                    Hello everyone,

                    I have several issues:

My AjaxSearch doesn’t work. If I send the form, the red cross appears and
the animated indicate.white.gif runs and runs and runs ...
The error appears in FF or IE6 ...
OK, I switched off the AjaxSearch with the parameter &ajaxSearch=`0` - then the
                    search-formular does work.

But now I have a problem with IE6: After a search I get the results ...
If I click on a result I jump to the page ... ok ... but if I click on the
"return"-button in IE6, I get the IE-message: "Attention: This site is legal/valid ... bla bla
                    - you must reload the site". The reason for this "error" is, because the form
is send with POST ... I solved my problem in order that I changed the method POST to GET
                    in the snippet and templates.inc.php.

                    Another issue:
The MODx 0.9.6 works in IE very very fast - but in FireFox slow - after 2 hours work
with MODx in FireFox (in one tab the manager and in another tab the site) the browser works very slow ...

OK - my last issue (it is not a problem with MODx - it is a problem with browsers):
If I enter text in TinyMCE, above the first <p> FireFox shows a 5mm gap - in IE
the beginns immediately. Hmm, in the CMS webEdition is there a parameter:
"removefirstparagraph=true". With this parameter webEdition removes the first paragraph.
Is this a possible solution for MODx?
Currently I wirte the following css: p {margin-top:0px;} to solve this issue.

MODx is a very nice and great CMS and currently I build my first website with it - but this
will not be my last wink

Sorry about my horrible english ... smiley

                    My environment:
                    Server:
                    MODx 0.9.6
                    Debian 3
                    Apache 1.3
                    PHP 4.3.10
                    MySQL 4.0.24
                    mod_rewrite: on
                    friendly alias path: yes

                    Client:
                    W2K
                    Firefox 2 or IE6

                      Hello,

i can confirm this behavior. My solution was a browserupgrade from ff 1.5.0.x to ff 2. Maybe a ajax overhead.

                      ciao, Stefan
