    Hi all,

here are my problems when upgrading to 0.96:

when I try to create a new template variable, I get a message saying: "$rs not set! New variable not saved!" when I hit the save button.
No problem when adding new templates/chunks/snippets.
I have made a fresh install for testing and came across the same problems.

    My configuration:
    Php 5.2.3
    IIS 6
    Mysql 5.0

    Thanks,
    Seb

      Hey,

      apache 223
      mysql 5027
      php 5+

The problem I’m seeing is interesting and not sure if anyone else has had this problem. I’m using multiple mysql dbs on my server. On .95 everything worked just fine. I made a fresh install because I wanted to make sure everything is in utf8 and then just ported the mysql structures over with default to utf8. Now, inserting data to the other databases works just fine. When I go to look at it, I get a blank page with the error: Error while inserting event log into database.

I have no idea what that means? I made sure the html files are utf8 and that’s the only thing that has changed as aside from the new modx.

As far as the mysql queries there is one db that has all regular mysql calls, and I’m calling another with the modx dbapi. Both show the same exact error?

If anyone knows what this might be please help smiley

Kind of in a time limit with everything.

      Thanks!

      Josh

Just in case anyone else has had this problem there is a solution:

        http://modxcms.com/bugs/task/866

I guess this is a temp fix until .96.1

As discussed several times, it is fixed in the latest trunk and the fix will be in the next point release, 0.9.6.1. If it is stopping you from getting your work done, then upgrade to the latest version from SVN trunk.

EForm call in "contact us" page:

No bug, just a mistake in the example pages you can install with 0.9.6: It reads &to=`[(email_sender)]` instead of &to=`[(emailsender)]`.

My apologies if that has already been mentioned before, I must have missed it then.

                  Greetings, Alex

Document’s alias is not sticking, keeps going blank after you save
That’s odd. I can’t reproduce it, either. Does this happen to you in more than one browser?

I’m using Mac with the latest modx stable release 0.9.6 and have confirmed in Safari, Firefox and Camino that the document alias does not stick

                    Ill second that

The only thing that I can think of that might explain why this is happening to others and I can’t reproduce it is that I always apply a patch/hack to make sure that TV values are saved properly (see this thread: http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,16178), so all my 0.9.6 installations are patched. I guess it could be the case that the alias field is also affected by the issue with this JavaScript, although I haven’t investigated to find out. You might try this hack and see if it helps with the alias issue as well (and please report back if you do).
