Folders also have to be executable (777) in order to work, looks like your folder permissions above are 666.

Sorry about that. This is one of probably many areas I didn’t even think to document. The entire "skingraft" folder and all of it’s subdirectories should be set to 777.

Thanks for fielding support Susan and Ryan. SkinGraft 1.0 should be ready for distrobution by the end of this weekend, and will be able to install chuncks and tvs with the template.

I am going to reccomend a naming convention for designers who include chunks and tvs in their templates. If the templat name is SDisCool, the chunks and tvs should be called {{SDisCool_foot)), [*SDisCool_sidebar*]] so we don’t overwrite and destroy peoples existing chunks and tvs. does that seem appropriate? I would love some ideas on this before I publish it.

Andreas, for some reason your system is having a problem with the uploaded file. Have you been able to upload other files using scripts? I’ve used this on a local MAMP server as well as a standard Linux shared-hosting server with no (other!) problems.

If you are using XAMPP in your local testing environment, It may not be compiled with the necessary binaries for extracting zip archives, which the MODx Resource Wizard is dependent on. As such, this module may not work on your local testing servers. Almost all hosting services capable of supporting a MODx installation will be complied correctly to support the MODx Resource Wizard.

You need the backticks in the config file. You need to call str_replace(’`’, ’’, $dbase) when you use it where it doesn’t need backticks, though I can’t think of too many places it should be used without them if you want to avoid MySQL errors with certain characters that are allowed in db names.

Otherwise, you’d need to add them everywhere you do need them.

Is str_replace better in this case than trim()? I always use trim($dbase,’`’) in my scripts that need this.

Not sure which is better, but a quick test in a php file would probably tell us which is faster... Likely, your trim approach is fine and probably a little faster.

Yep. Currently use cmsmadesimple and I have uploaded > 1000 files.
Running modx on the same server parallel for about 1 year for testing.
OpenBSD 4.0, MySQL 5.0.24, php5

I looked at SkinGraft beta2 and $dbase = trim($dbase, "`"); is included in it.

What should I try next?
