Apache crashes during install

I wonder if the install could check the memory size and issue a clearer error message.

Install does check memory_limit...most people just don’t read it.

But shouldn’t the install abort if the memory limit is as small as 16M?

Depends on the configuration and the distribution - some 16M servers will run this fine. There’s really too many factors to completely abort installation on 16M or less; but making the warning more prominent is definitely a good suggestion.
