They probably don’t want to give too much away yet, especially with the public alpha release just around the corner. wink
I think this house has no corners laugh.
Any update on the svn? Because i could use the merged user management (if it is in 0.9.7) for some sites wink.

There are some major announcements on the horizon regarding SVN activity in general, and accessing the 0.9.7 branch specifically. Stay tuned; we’re doing a major testing and documentation push in preparation to get add-on developers migrating legacy and/or developing new add-ons for use with the new core framework.

Ooops, Jason was quicker - and more to the point - than me

CoolGoose, let me tweak the JFK quote : "Ask not what MODx can do for you. Ask what you can do for MODx" wink
There is a reason why 0.9.7 can not yet be downloaded public, trust the dev team... another quote : "all things come to those who wait" tongue

I’ll be frank. 0.9.7 right now does not work fully, and cannot be installed yet on all environments. If you tried to get it off SVN right now and run it, it would break and do absolutely nothing for you.

Once we finish the install system, stabilize the manager, style it to MODx styles and iron out some critical bugs, we’ll try and get a public release up. Until then, there’s really nothing we can offer you but what we have given you - feature lists, screen shots and assurances that we are working our hardest to get this out to you guys as soon as possible.

Sorry for fishing for news here (on 0.9.7)... I figured since a month has passed since the last post in this thread, I’m sure several MODx faithfuls are anxiously awaiting as am I. State of the union or update maybe? Thanx.

A tremendous amount of progress has been made on 097, but still some significant hurdles to overcome including porting over some basic resources, installation improvements, and styling the manager.

Still no definitive timeframe, but it’s coming along really well and consistent progress is made daily.
