I thought about this permissions problem, that is why I made a couple brand new installs, not using ftp in creating the folders, but using the modx GUI, and I am still getting the same errors, on different hosting providers...

I created two versions of the folder, one with an (-) and one with a (_) with the theory that I could not name folders using an (_)...

another folder name that gave me the error is Muenchen_A26_EGVL. I am creating all folders now using the PHP process.
What other information should I find using firebug?

        Thanks

After creating another folder "Muenchen_Groebenz.40", and again, clicking on the arrow next to it, I got this firebug error shown in the screenshot.

Again, this time another installation on a completely different server, this one is by hostgator in the US. I added a folder to the file manager, than added a couple subfolders. After the 3rd one it seems to be come unstable. The subfolder name that did it was "Muenchen_AHL_3.G.2" and the error was "n.apply is not a function - http://www.domainhere.com/manager/assets/ext3/ext-all.js"

Again, this is the 4th server, like 8th install I have tried. I always get this result.

Now we’re getting somewhere. Finally reproduced the problem; it’s as if something is removing the first _ in the directory names. If you wouldn’t mind filing a ticket, I’ll make sure it gets fixed.

Oh thank God! I have a huge project coming up that I wanted to use Revo for! Ok, I already placed a ticket. The number is 2738.
                  I really appreciate your help!

One comment though to folder permissions. If one were to develop a website offsite, locally, where a gallery tool for example is used, and the admin needed to upload images to the folder through the file manager. Then when the site was approved and all images were there, if you then download the site with ftp and upload it to the destination server, wouldn’t all of the permissions get screwed up? Because using PHP processing it was originally uploaded, but then in the 2nd phase all files were uploaded using ftp, with the ftp client user. So if the admin went back to make changes, he could no longer write to the folders created using PHP on the testing server? Would that cause a conflict somehow?
